My plan for the past 1.5 months has been to slowly lose a little (only a 1,000 kilojoule or less deficit) so that I can not worry about a few celebrations at the end of the year.

How does everyone calculate their average weight for the month/week?
Happy Scale doesn't give those figures, and it always seems like a pain to do it myself.
I've got an Android phone, so the options are a bit different, but my Fitbit account is linked to MFP and the Fitbit app provides weekly averages. I do calculations for my monthly average, but at least it's only 4 numbers then.0 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Started the week off really low, below the lowest end of the range and the lowest that I've been since I started maintenance. I was back in range for the rest of the week though, although most of that is from water weight, so I think that I'm still probably at the low end of the range. This is good though since I'll be away for the next 1.5 weeks with plans for a lot of eating out at nice restaurants and stopping at pastry/dessert shops, so I'll have some leeway and can enjoy eating everything.4 -

Successes/struggles of the week: Ugh. Once again, averaging the same weight. I guess it’s still better than the alternative - gaining more. Only one more week of treats in the office. Once the free goodies are gone, I think it will be easier to stay the course.
Signing up for my second marathon which will be in July. Training for that race will definitely force me back into good cardio habits. I’m excited for this event - It’s located in “the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.” Next year will mark the 10 year anniversary since I’ve last visited that place. My husband is going to join me to run the half while I run the full. Super excited for both of us!

How does everyone calculate their average weight for the month/week?

I log my daily weight in Excel. I also track other biometric data when the button on my scale is working (body fat % estimate, body water content, bone mass). I have a column that automatically calculates a ten-day rolling average. It's actually not necessarily a ten DAY average - it's more of a ten ENTRY average. Some days I am away from a reliable scale, so it's just the average of the last ten days. That's the same as what Trendweight does; I use that, too. Once a week, I just run a seven day average off to the side. That one is just for the week, so it's a six-day average if I didn't weigh one week. At the end of the month, I run a monthly average. Easy peasy!1 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: sorry all I typed my age wrong last post I am 49 not 40. Stuck to the plan all week. A little under calories but my moms coming tomorrow and we are having turkey. I love turkey and have some calories to spare. Traveling some next week, so I will have less control as I can’t cook and won’t have a food scale. I’ll make it work though.

Success of the week: My seven-day average weight is coming back down, as is my ten-day rolling average.
Struggle of the week: My scale weight is bouncing around. I got to the very top of my maintenance range mid-week, but have crept back up again. December 3 was my heaviest scale weight since April, so at least I'm 2.5 pounds under THAT. My ten-day trending weight is still as high as it was in June before I first started maintaining.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My son graduated from college this weekend. We had a great weekend. There was definitely more food and drinks than usual and my weight is up a bit, but still in range. I got home yesterday and was able to get in a run and today I am back in my usual routine.6 -

Put on a pair of pants I haven’t been able to wear since George W Bush was president! Really enjoying my weekly yoga class. Feeling good about increasing my exercise.
Struggles: reverted to late night secret snacking last night. Probably because I drank a second glass of wine and was missing my mom and mother in law. Holidays bring up grief for me.

Success: My WW official WI since surgery 11/7. Lost weight w/out my normal exercise aqua aerobics and walking the dog. Stress causes me to lose my normal eating routine. Could reach -200# if I continue to lose, .8 away from SW 376.2!
Challenges: Mental challenge to discipline myself to do PT at home. Post op effect of two years pinched nerve made my leg weak through atrophy from nerve not getting to muscles. Now need to do PT.9 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Considering I was on the road this week I’m pleased. Had some form of Holiday business/office lunch every day and dinner out most nights. According to MFP I stayed in calorie goal but I doubt it because restaurants are notoriously bad, as am I at calculating portions without a food scale. Still right in the middle of my range and I am home now so I can control measure and control my intake much better. I also took the week off from exercise. Not starting again until tomorrow. I have not had more then a day or two exercise break in eight months so I figure my body would appreciate it. We are going to take a mini family trip right after Christmas.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I'm away from home this week and next week with a non-digital/inaccurate scale, so my weight is really an estimate. I'm doing a little bit of cooking some days and having fairly simple breakfasts, so I'm able to have pretty good estimates on about half of my calorie intake. Eating out and estimating for the rest of the time. I'd banked an extra 1000 calories for this week, plus another ~1500 calories for next week, but I'm still managing to maintain on the lower end of my range - which is good as it provides even more of a buffer for all of the delicious food I'll be eating next week!6 -

Successes/struggles of the week: Still maintaining at this higher weight. Honestly starting to get used to how I look at this weight (the recent strength training is firming me up a little more again)... still fit in all my clothes and my husband likes my body a little more at this weight. Might adjust my weight range up again. Not sure yet.
For now, just focusing on being mentally healthy for the remainder of the holiday season. I’ll tackle physical health again on Jan 1 and see where it goes. I already have a half marathon, a full marathon and 2 back to back 10-mile Tough Mudder events planned and paid for in 2019. No excuses to stay back in (and improve) good cardio and strength training habits now!

Slightly up this week but not too surprised. I Some extra socialising and a little less exercise than normal and I’ve weighed myself a couple of hours earlier than normal - usually means a pound or two higher I’ve found. I’m pleased I’ve still managed to work out every day this week except one. I think (hope!) I’m finally getting into the mindset of coping with spikes up as I grow in confidence in my ability to reset quickly and get back on it.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is up this week although I was really good weighting and measuring all my food it is what it is. I'm still in my range. I saw my Dr on Friday for my annual appointment her scale said 133 (clothes on) and my home scale said 132.4. We talked about my weight and how I want to get back to 125. I told her what my original range was 130-135 although was down to 125 at one point explained I just came back from a cruise so that was why the gain and was working to get back to 125 again. She put her hands on her hips and gave me the look. I knew I was in trouble although was caught off guard by what she said. NO MORE LOSING WEIGHT she firmly told me in fact I could up my range 135-140 and still be good although she is fine with what I weigh. We talked about me becoming obsessed with the number on the scale. She was concerned about my heart rate is was low at one point although they took it again several more times while I was there and it was fine. Not to sure if I can do the range she would like me to be in although after this week with the holidays I might be there.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Down a bit, but happy with that as it means I won't have to stress about eating over the holidays. I expect to be back up into range soon. Merry Christmas!5 -

Successes: went jogging twice this week. Have t jogged in months. It helps that I live at high altitude but got to jog at sea level while on vacation. Have enjoyed some extra holiday treats but not binged. My husband’s family has noticed my weight loss since they saw me last summer and they’re very supportive and positive. According to my father in law’s scale I’m maintaining my weight.7
