Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I started the week off at 109 lbs at the lower end of my range, which was good, because my weight crept up starting the day after Christmas and hit 113 lbs yesterday. I haven't had a fluctuation this big in one week before, and I haven't seen a weight higher than 112 since early December of last year, before I hit my goal weight and was still losing. Since I've entered maintenance, my weight has remained pretty consistently in my range, usually at or below 111 lbs (getting up to the odd 111.6 lbs occasionally, and 112 lbs only once or twice). However, I know it's likely all of the high sodium meals and desserts/carbs I've had while eating out this week (including Chinese food twice in one day). Weight dropped to 112.4 lbs this morning, but it's still over the high end of my range, so hopefully all of the water weight will disappear soon. I'm not too concerned about it, but I still don't like seeing a number on the scale that much out of my maintenance range.6 -

Successes/struggles of the week: Welp, I’ve clearly left the “at least I’m able to maintain” mindset behind this week as I’m up in weight for the second week in a row.
Hubby and I have a joint goal to be healthier in 2019. Think partnering with him will make it easier - especially since we’ve agreed that the first thing that has to change are the routine “all you can eat buffet” outings we do 2-4x a month.
On the plus side, almost done the majority of home improvement projects that have kept me out of the gym more than I would like. Just need to paint the kitchen tomorrow and figure out the faux fireplace situation, then I can reprioritize back to exercise with a mind free (hopefully) from the nagging “one more project” feeling.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: UGH!! Weight is up time to rein it in. I can't wait for the holidays to be over with. I still have 3 more days of get together's My self control went out the window this week so I need to watch the next three days. On the positive side I am down 5 pounds from my weight last year at this time. Negative side I am 6 pounds away from where I used to be so need to get back there.

Successes: Kept up with jogging and walking this week. I have really been seeing the benefits of stress management through jogging. Did better than I ever had on our side trip to Austin. Consistently ordered salad and fish at restaurants. Challenges: I’m still eating out for most meals and that is taking a toll on the scale. Also succumbed to some mindless nibbling last night just from boredom and availability. I think last night was also getting into that dangerous F*-it mentality after gaining two pounds. I poured myself an egg nog! What was that about?
Side note: I started using the HappyScale app based on a recommendation in another thread and it is awesome! It really helps me see the steady progress I’ve made this year.6 -

Success of the week: My scale weight is coming back down. Some was fluid retention from muscle repair. My seven-day and ten-day average weight is finally also coming down. I've been pretty stable the last several months -- see this year's chart below.
Struggle of the week: I am still a almost three pounds over the top of my six-pound maintenance range. Even though I've been pretty stable the last several months, but it's still heavier than I would like.

Success/Struggles: More than a week of stress-eating and my weight is up - not dramatically but higher than it's been since vacation in June. I haven't been logging, and while I'm sporadically practicing portion control, I am really ready to get back to managing my calories.3 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Another week of mostly travel. This time with my two sons and wife. According to my logging I stayed within maintenance calories, but I am pretty sure a couple of things I ate were much higher then estimated.
In particular a bowl of amazing Chili at a Mexican food place, it must have been 2,000 calories, though I could not manage to eat much more than half. Happy to be able to stop without gorging myself, old me would have finished it no matter how uncomfortable it would have made me. And we hit Voodoo Donuts up on the way through Austin where I ordered an apple fritter.
Home again with my food scale and glad to be finishing December at 159.8 with a monthly average of 159 right where I need to be.

Since starting maintenance in 2016 I've gained about 2 kg of muscle. Pretty proud of that, considering I run a lot and do bodyweight stuff like handstands and core, not weight lifting. Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Made it through Christmas. Lots of snacking, but got some good runs in too. My weight went up during the week as expected, but came back down again. My average for December is 116.9 which is down a little from the first of the year, but I am still happy with where I am. Although unlike many prior years, one of my resolutions for 2019 will be not to lose any weight. I will practice that this evening drinking by wine and eating homemade pan pizza.
