@Spliner1969 , i used go be on your March April thread and you were doing increadible times for the mth. A question for u, what the most per mth have to ever done??...
I remember u posting a pic of b4 and after of yrself and u are a inspiration to us.
Most I've done is around 200 minutes for the month, that's 20 ten minute sessions throughout the month. This winter I've changed my workout routine to hopefully gain some muscle so I've switched to some different ab exercises and am doing about 120 minutes a month planks. I may do more in the warmer months, just have not decided yet. Thanks for the compliments. I may post more pics in the summer when I'm not so squishy trying to gain some muscle lol.

I wrestled with it for a really long time but people kept telling me if I wanted to gain I was going to have to gain some fat along with the muscle. I avoided it for over three years though, tried recomp which is painfully slow. It works but even after 3 years of it I was nowhere near where I wanted to be. I think the planks and core work have paid off though, I can now lift significantly more weight than my doctors ever said I would be able to do without re-injuring my lower back. Planking has helped immensely, as well as other core exercise (sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts, hanging leg lifts, etc.).
Right now I've shifted back into recomp at my current weight (about 18 lbs over where I started about six-eight months ago). I'm hoping to drop that weight back and end up with 5-10lbs more muscle than I had. So in mid-January once the holidays are done I'll be going back to a slight deficit until I reach my goal body fat %. I have no idea what the end weight will be at that point, so it's kind of exciting for me. I figure I'll still be 'overweight' on the silly BMI charts, but if it's muscle that pushes me into that category it would make me happy. I'll turn 50 in July so that's my target date for the rest of my goals.
So at 120 minutes per month now that's 3 10 minute sessions per week. Which means 3 of my 4 or 5 workout days needs to include planks. Everyone who shows up to this challenge helps keep me motivated to keep up that schedule! I appreciate all of you showing up and giving it your best. There are a lot of days I just don't want to do the planks, but I think about not keeping my goals in this thread and I find the willpower to get them done.
