Hypocaloric, while appealing, sounds too sciencey to get people to jump on board. The Psycho (CICO) Diet. In addition, it causes people to give me a little extra personal space.17 -
I see endless threads in January:
OP: I couldn't lose weight on keto or plant based, so I googled and found the "Hypocaloric Diet" and now the pounds are falling off!
Poster 1: Don't fall for fad diets, they're just designed to take your money!
Poster 2: That sounds too complicated - just cut out some random food group and you'll see results!
Poster 3: You have to IF if you really want to heal your body!

You beat me to it! That's what I thought too because clearly those of us that live by CICO are the crazy ones.6 -

Great. Now I've got this annoying earworm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z1SFDpLbUs
(The English lyrics go:
Sico Sico looks good
Just like you knew it would
Sico Sico looks good and lasts so long
Morning noon or night
Sico is what you like
Sico Sico looks good...
...And lasts so long!
Sico-Sico! Sico-Sico!)
Sorry I could only find the French version on Youtube.3 -

Am I the only lame *kitten* who's been saying See Eye See Oh in my head all this time?7 -
Dammit, I knew I should've trademarked it first!
It's honestly just the way I always pronounced it, I always think soft "c" before an "i" (like city or exercise) and hard "c" before "o" like cod or cobble.
I would assume my Hispanic friends would say see-co.0 -
Exactly. What's the point of an acronym if you're just going to say the letters? The acronym adds style, flair, and an easy way to say something more complex.
With See Eye See Oh, you may as well just say calories in calories out. @pinuplove :flowerforyou:1 -

@nutmegoreo Nuh-uh! :noway: See Eye See Oh saves you a whole 4 syllables!3 -

I've always used "Sicko" and anticipating a result of increased personal space. Man this was right in front of me the whole time!10 -
Huh. My brain adds an "s" and says "sis-ko".2
