In a parallel dimension I took the offer to NYU and now have a satisfying career with Disney.6

It's interesting that everyone's parallel dimension has a better reality...5

In one of my parallel dimensions, I’d be an otolaryngologist which would contribute to my passion for biomedical research in aiming to understand molecular mechanisms of complex biological processes in health and disease.3

Is it truly better?! Even drastic changes in life will not make you feel happier unless you were happy to begin with. Maybe life would be more comfortable, but unless you were happy previously you will continue to feel lousy. Only difference will be the reasonings.
In most cases, I'd say yes. If you aren't happy to begin with, more/better distractions mask the unhappiness better. IME.0 -

In this thread we make assumptions as to what our parallel dimension selves might be doing or have done!
I would be well-hung, perfectly attractive, well-off, talented and a genious.
Wait...that is me projecting desires.
I would have had more cake.3 -
In one of mine, I was normal and popular. No, wait.... there's no way. LMAO1

not me.
in my parallel dimension, I'm wrongly convicted of a heinous crime and sentenced to life imprisonment in an all womens detention facility where the only words spoken are 'yes' & 'more!'.
wait.
I guess that is a better reality than what's going on now.....
never mind.2 -

idk the book but the author borrowed from plato’s allegory of the cave
If that's true, then it seems Plato borrowed from one of my old therapists...1 -
