Maybe, but decide whether you can choose between the ex and your friend. You should be prepared to lose your friendship if the friend really hates their ex (or secretly is still in love), and your date with the ex turns into an ongoing relationship.

    Giving unsolicited relationship advice.

    Not ok

    Asking for relationship advice
  • forestfreekforestfreek Posts: 2,700Member Member Posts: 2,700Member Member
I think that’s ok. As long as you’re willing to listen to the advice being given. Lol.

Riding up on the tail end of someone going way below the speed limit

Okay, as long as it's a right-hand lane, not the shoulder!

Giving somebody the finger who passed you going super fast, then slams on their brakes in front of you because they spotted a cop.

Asking to borrow money from co-workers
  • KelleyCakesKelleyCakes Posts: 3,158Member Member Posts: 3,158Member Member
Okay and not okay... Depends on the coworker, how close you are and how large of an amount your borrowing.

    Eating dessert first.

Returning a vehicle on empty that you borrowed from a friend - you give them a few bucks instead.

Playing loud music late at night in a campground

Not ok if others are around.

Taking food (with food tongs) from a tray of pastries, putting it on your plate then putting it back on the tray because you changed your mind. [saw this earlier this morning at a work breakfast]
  • forestfreekforestfreek Posts: 2,700Member Member Posts: 2,700Member Member
If your plate is clean, that’s ok. If you’ve already used it and are coming back for seconds, not ok.

Parking in a handicapped space because you just have to run into the store for a quick sec?
  • geraldaltmangeraldaltman Posts: 1,305Member, Premium Member Posts: 1,305Member, Premium Member
Totally NOT ok. In all the time I was hampered by deteriorating and untreated hips, I was told I could and should get a handicapped placard and use the spaces. I never did. I was afflicted by something fixable by my own choice to refuse treatment. I was not handicapped. It just wasn't right to me.

Paying for something like a bridge toll for a complete stranger behind you? (Happened to me)
  • forestfreekforestfreek Posts: 2,700Member Member Posts: 2,700Member Member
That’s always ok. Kind acts? How could that not be a good thing?😊

Using the same t-towel to wipe the counters as to dry the dishes?
  • s1im62s1im62 Posts: 2,528Member Member Posts: 2,528Member Member
Okay as long as you wipe the counters AFTER drying all the dishes, then throw the towel in the washing machine.

Questioning why the number of people with handicap stickers/placards at work seems to expand to fill the number of handicap spaces available, no matter how many additional spaces management adds to the current number of spaces.
