Ok 🤫
Holding grudges against your parents? Even though they are inconsiderate and hurt you?0 -
Not ok, grudges just hurt yourself because they are not thinking of you while you stew in negativity. Trust me, my parents have a degree in that but I just enforce my boundaries and accept that that is their issue not mine. Live free! They can't ever take my Joy away now, thanks to Jesus and Celebrate Recovery from codependency. Sorry, preachy.
Telling a friend that you don't have enough energy to continue conversing with them about a topic they keep repeating so need to go.

OK if said as nicely as possible
Asking a friend to chip in more for the dinner bill because she had 3 very expensive cocktails and you had one glass of wine0 -
Not ok, their chaos became a problem for you. Boundaries for codependency please! Like say, "I'll call you back on my lunch break as I need to be at work" or if real dire and you love them enough, then ask if they would like me to take a day off to help. Sorry, preachy again- celebrate recovery fanatic...
