OP-I'd take the advice of the experienced posters. Eat what MFP gives you +exercise calories. Get a digital food scale and weigh and measure everything you eat and drink.6

Hi @Blondie3012
I know it can be tempting to cut calories drastically to see fast results, but as others have pointed out, it isn't healthy and it isn't sustainable. The likelihood of 'falling off the wagon' (so to speak) and binging and ending up back at square one is really high. And you definitely don't want that.
Your goal is currently motivated by wanting to be slimmer for your holiday in May. I get that. I also have a holiday in May and I too want to be smaller for it. In fact, I started off a couple of weeks ago not far from your current weight - 13st 6.6lbs (188.6lbs). I'm 5foot 6.5 inches and I set my goal as losing 2lbs per week. If I achieved that loss every week, I'd be 11st exactly (154lbs) by the time I go on holiday (17th May). In reality, I won't meet that 2lb target every week (I didn't last week thanks to a party and a cheeky mcdonalds on the Sunday night!), but that's OK. MFP set me the 1200 calorie limit based on my 2lb per week target, and some days I meet that, some days I go over. As others have pointed out, even 1200 calories per day is pretty low and is difficult to stick to in all honesty. So long as I don't go over 1500 calories in any given day, I know I've created a deficit and that will result in a loss. So I'm not beating myself up about it. I'm down 7.6lbs already (as of this morning's weigh in) so clearly it's possible to lose the weight without starving myself every day, and with making allowances for special occasions.
Weight loss isn't a fast or short journey. Nor should it be. You didn't put it on super quick, so it won't come off super quick either. Be kind to yourself. Set a sensible 'mini' target for your holiday. Take it slowly, and sensibly and you'll still see a big loss before your holiday. One that will see you drop clothes sizes and feel more comfortable with yourself. And if 10.5 stone is your ultimate goal, keep that, but just change the target date to an achievable one.
Good luck! x5 -
