Ah! I forgot to mention, that the most important steps involving skin care is drinking enough water, using sunscreen, getting enough deep sleep, working up a sweat every day, and rinsing off with a cold shower.

Wash Face, Body and Beard -- Irish Spring (Lasts about 2 weeks)
Put Conditioner in Beard -- Suave (Lasts about a month)
Lather Head and Face -- Barbisol (Lasts about 3 weeks)
Shave Head and Face -- Gillette Disposable (1 Razor lasts 1 week)

Total routine costs about $16 a month. I guess when you are blessed with natural beauty, it's very inexpensive.

    How about lotion ?

No lotion. Don't need it. I'm married. Haven't need lotion since my teens.

I’m so glad you posted! I choose to focus on hair and beauty while I get my eating on track b/c it helps me feel good about myself when other things are simply out of my control. I will have to look for ELF Rose Gold palette!

    Face: Dove Sensitive Bar
Face: Garnier Sensitive Micellar water (green lid)
Face: Clinique redness solutions & I just picked up Cetaphil. I have sensitive skin and I’m in my 40’s so I find lately I have to adjust my products.
Hair: Suave Naturals Rose (in a gold bottle) - this has transformed my hair! I also use the matching conditioner. My hair is long now thanks to this!
Hair: Pantene Naturals Shampoo & Pantene BB cream for hair
Body: Aveeno for stress & I just bought Olay Age Defying Body Wash
Body: Rose + Vanilla by Schmidt’s or Beautifil by Doterra - both deodorants. Just bought Dove spray in Apple (it smells just like Apple Dumpling - Strawberry Shortcake’s friend from when I was a kid) but I question if it will work. I’m finding lately only natural deodorant!
Make-up: Powder Puff Lippie by NYX - Prank Call & Cool Intentions - I love this formula! NYX lip oil, NYX Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop foundation and some other boring stuff like L’Oréal in Toasted Almond or Burt’s Bees tinted lip balms.

For my face and body I use coconut lotion. Knock on wood i really don't have skin problems or acne but I like to keep something on my skin to make it feel smooth and hydrated.

Hair I use Suave Shampoo and Conditioner. And Suave coconut body wash. And a coconut hair mask to help with my dry damaged hair.

Make up I use Wet and Wild Photo Focus foundation I've also used the Fenty foundation and I love it in Ivory or a very light shade. Conealer I use Wet and wild the lightest shade. Covergirl powder ivory. ELF brow pencil dark brown. Eyeshadows I have 2 pallets from Morphee a warm nude pallate and a more coloful palette and then I have Blood Sugar and the Androgeny palette from Jeffree Star. Mascara and eyeliner I use the Ulta brand black. Eyeliner pencils various colors Wet and Wild. Highlights and contour I use Wet and Wild. Lipsticks I use Wet and Wild matte and NYX matte any matte lipsticks I love. And setting spray I use Hard Candy matte setting spray. I so love make up. 😊

I love Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. For face wash, I am currently using Farmacy Clean Bee. It came in my Boxycharm, and so far I really am liking it.

I tried a couple of new products recently:
    • Physicians Formula All-Over Blur Super CC Cream (love this - the Light/Medium shade looks so natural on me)
    • Soap and Glory satin lipstick in "Pink Up, Girl" (very pretty shade)
Does anyone feel like posting a "Face of the Day"? Yesterday my "simple face" included the above two products plus:
    • Cover Girl clear brow gel
    • Make Up For Ever mascara in "Smoky Extravagant" (this was a Sephora gift)
    • The lightest shade of Stila's "Bella" eye shadow trio
Would love to see more activity on this thread! 💄

Skincare: splash with water only, every morning. On wintery days when I’m out in the wind, I might put on some nutrogena grapefruit anti-acne moisturizer.

Haircare: L’Oréal shampoo and conditioner, every other day. Dry naturally (No hairdryers or flatirons unless on very special occasions).

Makeup: 95% of days, no makeup. I think this helps my skin stay really clear. 5% of the time (special occasions), I will wear a bit of matte foundation mixed with lotion, a pretty naturalish palettte of brown eyeshadows in a smokey style with some faint sparkles, pencil eyeliner in a slight wing tip, curled eyelashes and black mascara. Plus chapstick 😂

Skincare: cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (the face specific product makes me breakout, I have pretty sensitive skin, so I stick with this stuff)

    Body: method body washes

Hair: I’ve been using the new(ish) herbal essences no-plastic shampoo & conditioners (I think the specific one I’m using currently is called Love Your Shore or something like that)

I don't wear much makeup. Some lip color/Burt’s bees chapstick (love the pomegranate flavor/shade!), occasionally smashbox gray eyeliner but that’s been really irritating my eyes lately, mascara (I think cover girl), and I’ve gotten into filling in my eyebrows lately. I use a real idiot-proof product from Ulta that is super forgiving because I have 0 makeup skills but I seem to be doing ok with this eyebrow color brush thingy!

I rarely blow dry my hair or anything to it, just let it air dry, sometimes putting some anti frizz stuff in it because it is super thick and can be a frizzy mess. Sometimes I also use some root lifting powder stuff because it can look flat on top because it’s so dang heavy pulling it down.

I have really oily skin, but occasionally swipe on cetaphil face moisturizer for oily skin with some spf because I know it’s good for me if I’m outside in the sun, but it still makes my face so oily! I wish I could find some really good face spf for oily skin.

I have really pared down my routines as I've gotten older. Creme de LaMer for face and eyes. The Best Lipshit Ever on my lips. Really short hair needs nothing but random shampoo then tousled with the LaMer that is left on my hands. Whatever body wash smells good to me at the moment. If I'm going out - I add some bronzer and lipstick and eyeliner. One thing I do pay attention to: my eyebrows. They are pretty strong and full. So I get them done once a month. Voila :)

    Face of the Day (Saturday)
    • Physicians Formula CC Cream (Light/Medium)
    • Blistex Fruit Smoothies (Melon Medley)
    • Soap and Glory Lipstick in "Pink It Up, Girl"
    • Sephora "Silver Green" Eyeliner (this was a gift sample that I'll be tossing; I could barely see it on my eyes)
    • Make Up For Ever Mascara in "Smoky Extravagant"
    • Laura Geller Marble Matte Baked Shadow in "Blueberry Creme" (looks like a pale grey on me)
    • Cover Girl Clear Brow Gel

This stuff is awesome for oily skin. Unfortunately you have to get it online but it's not expensive. Bottle is tiny but it's a thin liquid so a little goes a long way. Zero shine. Totally effective sunscreen. I do a 3 mile walk at midday and get no colour.

Hair: it doesn't matter if I use a $30.00 dollar bottle of salon shampoo and conditioner or a $4.00 bottle of Pert Plus... My hair always looks and feels the same. I do like that perfect 10 hair serum. And I always rinse hair in cold to luke-cool water.

Body: any body wash or body scrub that smells good... Love White Citrus from Bath and Body Works... Some of their seasonal ones smell good.

Face...I do weekly scrubs, and acid chemical peels maybe once every six months to once a year. I prefer local made natural soaps for daily washing. I like local made natural moisturizers--especially hemp or goats milk lotions (absolutely nothing on face with any alcohols in them, and I only rinse with cold water, never hot or warm on face).

Makeup: I prefer Elf and Clinique. But I only wear makeup on eyes and lips.

And I avoid the sun like the plaque! ;)

Ah I like local soaps too. My friend makes some and I get mine from her.

Protecting your skin from the sun is the best thing one can do. 😁

    Self-isolation bump

What are you doing or NOT doing these days?
    Anybody trying anything new?
Anybody going through your stash and reorganizing or tossing?
    Anybody "experimenting?"

I'm not wearing ANY makeup when I go out.

I decided to wear one item of (existing) eye makeup every day. If it irritates, it's going out. (This will probably be just about everything.)

I'm experimenting a bit with my hair.

Also, I rarely bother with my nails, but I have a lot of old nail polish, so I'm going to practice polishing them. I love nicely manicured nails, but I never get them done because I'm a germaphobe and I rarely do them myself because I'm a nutty perfectionist. This is a good time to practice.
