Hi, although Ive had MFP for a while, I haven't actually used it, not too sure how it all works but would love to make new friends for support, inspiration etc, I suffer with rheumatoid arthritis and hypothyroidism, menopause and cant manage a lot of exercise, anyone else in same boat?

Welcome!
Weight loss comes down to eating less than you burn, and can be accomplished solely through controlling your food intake. Exercise is, of course, good for health, which can include mental and emotional health as well as physical. Maybe you could try something like chair exercises to start out with? Maybe chair yoga? And short walks every day, as long as you can manage? Exercise doesn't have to be terribly strenuous, just consistently moving your body is helpful.
