Hey there, I have always been a noodle!! Yep like spaghetti, I started this journey at 110# now I'm at 123, goal is 145 I'm tall so will probly aim for 160 after meeting 145. Thought gaing would be easier after kids and such but NO!!!

Following a structured lifting program and taking your time to help minimize fat gains is going to be ideal. Also minimizing fat gains will help minimize the health impacts. You can look at Thinner, Leaner, Stronger or NROLFW in the above link. It's more directed towards women but still have a good amount of upper body.1
