Bulking Tummy Weight Gain only

Hi I’ve been bulking for the first time over the past couple months. I’m about 200 to 250 over my maintenance and I’ve gained 2 1/2 lbs since Dec. I’m ok with slow progress cause I didn’t want to gain a lot of fat at one time. I’ve since some muscle gains but I’ve noticed in the past few weeks my tummy feeling more bloated and soft. Is it possible the weight I’ve gained during this bulk is hanging out on my stomach? I don’t care if I ever have abs showing. Not one of my personal goals btw really.
I just want to know going thru my bulk for the first time does this sound normal? So I can just take a breather and not freak out over some temporary tummy gain.
I’m female, 31, currently at 126 1/2 weight, 5,4, I dont have a photo directly of my stomach. Have had some gains on my back and arms. Lately it just has that feeling full bloated and soft rounder look. I’m at about 1980 cals a day. There’s been only a few weekends for traveling where I may have gone over but overall I’m on point with my cals. I’m a macro counter.

It's normal to feel a bit bloated with bulking which is what it sounds like. But you can play around with your macros, fiber, food volume and spreading out meals which can help. With only 2.5lbs gained very little of that should be very visible fat if you are bulking correctly, and by your photo it is unlikely.
Make sure you are following proper programming with adequate stimuli for muscle growth.4 -

You look great! Fat gain is going to come with a bulk, even a slight one. People tend to carry and gain fat in different areas. Legs, chest, lower back, love handles, lower belly.. Just depends on the person. Main thing is with a bulk, is if you’re getting stronger. If you’re getting stronger and feel good in the gym, and you see an improvement in muscle size with minimal fat gain; I would say your bulk is going well.1 -
Bulking bloated me terribly but then I was using pea protein powder and eating soy on a vegan diet. I ditched that plan and the supplement and fared much better.
Eating more however did add to my symptoms, I found taking a digestive enzyme and pysillium husk caps to keep transit going to be of use.
I do have IBS to boot!1 -
You look great!
I'm also on a lean bulk. My tummy has become soft after 8.8 lbs.
Need to gain 4 more lbs and will go from there.
I do follow the Strong Curves program.
I'm 47, 5'6 aiming for 125 lbs.0 -
Great info from everyone thank you, that helps so much!0

Fill me in, digestive enzyme and pysillium husk? Lol Where do I find these and what are they exactly?

Thanks I’ll read this. My main concern for my original posting is just making sure this is a normal part of bulking. Sure I’m self conscious about a little bit softer tummy lately but wanted to ease my mind if it was just part of the normal bulking process. I’m not trying to fight a normal looking tummy for women.

But are your lifts also increasing?0
