I forgot to prove my bread before putting it in oven. Is it still safe to eat? (Slightly raw inside, but hard on outside so can’t bake it any longer)

I'd eat it except for the mushy part.

Honestly, I'd toss it and do over. The baked part is technically fine to eat but wouldn't be worth the calories to me as the texture will be all wrong. Chalk it up to a lesson learned. Bet you won't forget again! :)

I don't think it is actually dangerous but I still wouldn't eat it. The raw yeast may not agree with your stomach. I would also imagine it will have a very dense and unappealing texture.

It’ll be safe, just very dense and heavy! Won’t do you any harm though, if you find it palatable.

That's what I'd do. Is it safe? Probably. Is it worth the calories? I'd say no.
