    I’m not weighing myself this week since I just got back from Vegas. I didn’t really go overboard while I was there, but I did eat out a few times so I’m sure my weight didn’t go down. I had a blast though!

    May 10: 161.8 - not a huge loss, but glad I was able to lose at all. I had a pretty full weekend of calories and it took some extra time to get that weight back down.
    May 17: 161.4 - not much loss again, but I've been sick this whole week. Slept most of the time so wasn't as active as normal. Hoping to start next week off healthy.
    May 24: 160.8 - slowly but surely... Almost to the 150s!!! That's my goal for next week 😁
    May 31: 161.0 - Ok, I can explain. I started TOM this week and Memorial Day Weekend was full of giving in to cravings. I gained about 4 lbs worth of water weight but it reduced quickly. This week WILL be better!

    May 31:- 9st 5lbs (131lbs) (-1lbs -4lbs) I'm trying really hard not to become hung up on small weight changes of a couple of pounds. As soon as I see the scales move up I panic. I need to be calm and see the bigger picture.

    Goal - To get back to my goal weight I only need to shift the last 5lbs of the 11lb I've put on over the winter. That stubborn 5lb have been so difficult to shift but it's time to see it go! Stop trying to achieve crash weight loss, eat well at maintenance

    I’m suspecting this weight is mostly water weight after a day of airline flights and a late salty dinner. I ate at maintenance over my vacation, which was a nice diet break for me. My bigger concern is seeing if I backslid after a week off from running—I’m hoping that I can slog through C25K week 6 without having to go repeat any previous runs.

    I have never experienced such a large whoosh before. And given that I have been tracking just like I did when I lost 35 lbs previously, I should not have lost more than about a pound. So I have to think this is almost all water weight.

    I had been eating at maintenance for about 6 weeks prior to 05/29, so now that I am restricting calories again my glycogen may be depleting (though I do not do low carb at all.) Also for about 36 hours of the 48 hours right before I weighed myself last week I was traveling continuously, not sleeping, and eating a lot of salty food... so maybe my water weight was high because of salt/cortisol on 05/29.

    Anyway, I don't expect this will happen again.
