Is there a way to lose fat without losing weight

I feel like I may be just a tad unrealistic. I recently gained almost 40lbs this past year for a total of 128lbs from 91lbs at 5’4”. I’ve always been underweight my entire life so I’m loving the new body, minus the gut I’m trying to get rid of. I know I can’t spot treat, and I have been exercising regularly. I weigh myself daily. When the scale drops a pound or 2 I panic and up my calorie intake to gain that weight back. So here is the problem, I feel like I’m spinning my wheels and not seeing results from my hard work. I don’t want to be under 130. I want to stay 130 and just lose fat and gain muscle. Am I being ridiculous? Is the weight loss inevitable? Should I gain 10 more pounds and up my weight to 140 so I don’t get anxiety from losing the weight since I’ll be 10 pounds heavier than I want to be? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Sure, it is called body re composition, which is where you eat at around maintenance calories while also following a weight lifting program. That allows you to slowly gain muscle and lose fat (it is a long term process), so you can maintain your weight but lower your body fat. You can read some tips about it here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10177803/recomposition-maintaining-weight-while-losing-fat
Because weight naturally fluctuates, if going below 130 is such a mental block for you, you might want to maybe try to jump to around 135, so that as your weight fluctuates, it will be less likely to go under 130 and cause you the anxiety.4 -
