What are your experiences with slimmer belts? I bought one recently that you wear to raise your core temperature to help with weight loss. Haven't tried it yet, but I thought I'd ask.

They work by making you sweat more. Any weight lost will be water weight, not fat.

There are no quick fixes. All they do is make you sweat more. If that's your goal then put on an extra layer or hit the sauna. If you're referring to corset type apparatuses then not only do they not work, but can be quite dangerous.

They are a way for people to scam you out of your money. Return it if you can.

If not don't feel bad. I once dropped an unfortunate amount of money on some kind of weird acai berry supplement. Needing to lose weight can put you in a bad headspace. Going forward, just be super skeptical of everything that isn't CICO.

I would stay away. It doesn't do anything for weight loss, and you really don't want to raise your core temperature because you would be working less efficiently (get tired easier and not be able to work as hard, which burns fewer calories) with an extra risk of overheating. It also creates an excellent breeding ground for bacteria and fungus.

I have used one in the past, and I did not feel as though it did anything. It made me sweat more in my midsection area (obviously), but that is about it. Thankfully, I did not pay much for it, so I was not out a lot of money.
