Is it ok to eat chocolate as long as it fits in your macros??

For optimum benefits make your chocolate (which I too have every night) 70% or higher dark chocolate or even with almonds. 70% doesn't have the bitter taste, but has a lot less sugar. I sometimes (if I have room in calories/macros-top it with 1 tbsp peanut butter).
What if the only benefit that matters is that a person enjoys the chocolate? We aren't going to turn bionic by eating all optimized food so what is the point?

Trader Joe’s has a really good box of dark chocolate called “The Chocolate Passport” or something like that.
It has several small bars each one is single source from a different country. Venezuela, Tanzania, Ecuador, etc.
If you like dark chocolate, check it out.

Chocolate is one of my macros.
(I mean, obviously not, but it might as well be.)
I eat chocolate every day. I lost 100 pounds and have been maintaining for over a year and a half in my optimal BMI range.
In terms of weight management, your body only cares how many calories you take in and how many calories you burn. It does not care what specific foods or macros those calories come from. People who tell you that certain foods are "good" or "bad" for weight loss are just wrong. "Good" foods are foods you like and that fit your goals.2 -

What do you mean by "benefits"?3 -

I have chocolate or ice cream every night.
Lol I thought it will affect progress.
How would it do that?
Cause people say like sugar is bad and stuff so I thought eating chocolate will effect progress.
I'd say those people are probably trying to sell you something.
That's not fair. Lots of people are just unknowingly spreading lies and myths they read somewhere.1 -

@apullum Ah no you don't. I smiled at the first line, you don't get to back pedal out of it with the second
joking with you of course
Very much agree with your post.
I've had days (all of us have had maybe?) where I've eaten what I thought was far too much in the way of chocolate and other goodies, but still came in under my calorie goal, and other than the odd stomach cramp or feeling a bit lethargic (I can eat a lot of goodies) no lasting damage done.3 -

We would need a My Transhumanism Pal website.4 -
I have chocolate EVERY NIGHT, it helps me keep my sanity and I know I have a sweet treat to look forward to so it stops me from craving sweets earlier2

I was pretty sure a newbie would show up looking for advice on what settings they should use for protein, fat, carbs, and chocolate4 -

This is true. Some people are trying to sell something and some just spout the pseudoscience for free!
