Fiber is often a problem with me as well. To help get me through this week successfully does anyone have any recommendations of fiber rich food I can add?

If you get in your 5 servings a day of fruits and veggies you should hit it. If you eat a lot of processed foods your going to struggle. If you eat a lot of bread you could take a look at the labels and buy a bread with higher fiber this week.

Fiber is rarely an issue for me unless I eat out more than one meal a day. You could peek in my diary for other ideas.

I've posted my entire weigh in history this week to make a point. I've been setting my goals super low. I know I'm capable of loosing 2 lbs a week, but always set my goal for 1.5. My original theory was that it would keep me from getting discouraged if I didn't make it. I've been using as an excuse to cheat and work out less. So starting this week, my goal will match the goal I've input into MFP.

I'm not sure how I'm going to do the fitness challenge this week. This week I've barely worked out at all. The week before I did nothing but work out. Going to have to think on that...

    PSB
    This Week's Weigh In: 175
    P.S.B Starting Weight: 179
    Week 1 Goal: 178 - Actual: 174
    Week 2 Goal: 172 – Actual: 175
    Week 3 Goal: 173 - Actual 174
    # lbs lost w/ PSB: 4
    # lbs to go: 15
    Week 4 goal: 173

I lost since last week but didn't meet my 2 lb goal. Soooo....I'm going to shoot for it again for next week.

My goal in MFP for workouts is four 60 minute workouts per week, so I'll be shooting for an additional 60 minutes. I think I'll just spread it out and add around 15-20 to my current workouts to meet the goal.

I often do exceed the fiber recommendation in MFP but it's surely something I need to work on since it's not consistent. I'll check out your diary svey to see what you're eating, thanks!

Happy Monday everyone - BLAH!

I am back on it this week for real this time :flowerforyou: I have a dr appointment tomorrow due to TOM the issues I had which I think had to do with the reduction in calories and or my work out schedule.

The default fiber goal MFP sets is REALLY low (17 I think). Young women should be getting 25 g a day, men 38. Some days when I eat a ton of veggies I get 40! For someone that isn't used to it that would make you very uncomfortable... I would recommend increasing your fiber gradually.

Take a look at this thread when you guys have time.

    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/107361-being-a-true-mfp-friend

What do you think about the ideas presented? Would you be comfortable with a more "tough love" kind of environment in PSB or do you like the way things work now?

Curious how the rest of you feel. I am always open to constructive critisism, but I wouldn't want to change this thread in a way that made anyone else uncomfortable.

If you're looking for tips in my diary today is definately not the day. Got up at 5am to get to the airport and they canceled my flight. Since I got into town after work was over I had to call the hotel to send a shuttle for me and didn't have a vehicle to go grocery shopping. Everything I ate today (with the exception of a luna car I had in my carry on) was airport food. :grumble:

Since I'm new here I don't want to overstep, but some constructive criticism can go a long way. I respond better when challenged, not just sympathized with - but obviously that's just my personality. You can push people to do more without being mean and nasty, and in the end they'll thank you for the role you played in helping them reach their goals.

Thanks! I keep telling myself that, hope it works. I joined at the same time as my hubby and he's down 12 pounds, hard to not compare and start a pity party because he's a little ahead. I just keep reminding myself I've got further to go - so I'll lose more than him eventually

The first week or so is usually mainly water weight so don't hold the first month. Start truely competing after the 1st month.

Thanks for at least checking it out. I wanted honest feedback, so I appreciate it.

Ha! Men. I wish it was that easy for us. Have you ever seen that Slimquick commercial where the husband and wife start dieting together? He drops multiple sizes and she just looses her boobs. It's so true...

My boyfriend just started logging his food a few weeks ago and is already dropped double digits. If I didn't love him and wasn't so proud that he is starting to get serious about getting healthy I'd be really jealous and pissed.

Hello! Those are my little ones - thanks! I think so too, but then again I'm a tad bit biased.
