Yes. They are high in fiber and contain something called sorbitol. I don't know how many you should eat to get your systems moving, but I guess I'd have maybe three dried prunes and see what happens. Trying to hurry things along by eating 10 could really surprise your body. It won't be immediate, and you should drink water.5

Go to the doctor as you were told in your other post about being constipated.15

If you are having problems passing stools you should seek medical assistance. Home experimenting with natural remedies can make things worse depending on the cause of the issue.5

It goes back even further than that, April at least. OP is either messing with us, or just keeps posting hoping to get a different answer other than "go to the doctor". I can't help but wonder about the old addage about insanity, that it is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result and wondering if that also applies to asking the same question over and over expecting a different response.2 -
My bet is a doctor report that makes no sense and poses more questions than answers.1
-
Quit asking strangers to solve your medical issues and GO TO THE DOCTOR. Over and out.3
-
So yes, the OP had allegedly made a doctor's appointment.
WHAT DID THE DOCTOR SAY, OP?2 -

In that case, OP, call your doctor for clarification or make a follow up appointment. Stop thinking an internet message board is a substitute for medical care. People here are just going to keep telling you to go to the doctor.

I suspect that what MelanieCN77 means is that if the OP is stringing people along for entertainment, they'll make up a load of strange stuff that the 'doctor' allegedly said in order to keep stringing people along.4 -

That's not a bad thing. It's people who take advantage of others' kindness and compassion for stupid and selfish purposes that are the bad thing.2 -
You guys are so judgemental! I've been a member of MFP for the past 6 years and thankfully have not had to post here before... Wow!15

You haven't read any of the OP's previous threads, then6 -
No, but if you think this person is messing with you then just ignore them, it's the mature thing to do 😊9

OP has a 2+ month history of asking what to do about her extreme constipation and revolving reasons why she can't go to a doctor. Some of us have at one point or another been really genuinely concerned about her. Warning others not to waste too much emotion and worry on her is I think a nice thing to do for newer folks like you who aren't aware of her history. I don't think I'd describe allowing a poster to continue to mess with the kindness of users here as mature.10 -
That actually might have been me? I was having a similar issue around the time this person was posting the linked topics. I wasn't asking advice though, just whining while I waited for my appointment.
I am fine now.1 -

OP definitely posted about constipation multiple times in the past. Some of their previous posts are linked in earlier comments. It’s good to know that you are doing well, though! Maybe you can inspire OP to go get help.4 -

Good point. OP I didn't trust my doctor's advice either and was very grumpy for four days after because "that stupid doctor and his useless bs."
But uh. He was right! And five days after I saw him, following his "stupid" instructions, my problem was totally resolved.
Go forth and see a darn doctor.8 -
I think that was someone else. IIRC, It was someone who only went once a week, and then only if they took laxatives. But that stopped working and they had all kinds of reasons why they couldn't see a doctor. They eventually said they made an appointment for two weeks later, and again couldn't get in earlier because of reasons. They would also protest that they weren't dependent on laxatives, they just couldn't go without them. That thread ended up being locked.
