@nikki062181 I am back! It has been a long time since I have done this challenge. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. The truth?! Life got in the way. I'm constantly busy and just started eating out more and exercising less. Time to reel it back in.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK!
First step: Track calories
Second step: Measure my portions
Third step: Cut out carbonated beverages
Fourth step: Cut out too many sweets
5th step: Push water!!!!
OSW: 232 lbs
CSW: 159 lbs
CGW: 155 - 156 lbs
UGW: 125 lbs
Here is to wishing I can get down to 153 - 155 in these 10 days. 🙏
6/12: 159 Did not drink enough and was way under my calorie intake.
6/13: 157 Did not drink enough and was way under my calorie intake (been battling with altitude sickness)
6/14: 154.8 😮 Met my calorie goal but my macros were off. I ate too many carbs due to having chicken pizza for dinner. I did consume 34 ounces of water, drank no carbonated beverages, and had no candy either
6/15: 154.6 I nailed my macros yesterday! 🥳 I pushed pushed myself and drank 51 ounces of water. 😯 I know I'll be living in the bathroom today. I'm going to continue to push water but am bumping it up to 3.5 bottles of water today so I can get in 60 ounces. I swept my entire house and did more laundry yesterday.12 -

Deb, you can do this! This is for your health. Use that as your motivation to move forward. Did your doctor give you any specific instructions on what he needed done, or was it more generalized? If the doctor did not, how about you just take things in baby steps. It can feel overwhelming sometimes otherwise. For one week, why don't you focus on your water intake? Set a goal for yourself on how much you want to drink and push it! That alone will help with any water retention that you may have, and you'll lose pounds that way to start with. We know you can do this and are here for you.6 -
@ConfidentRaven
Hey girl! You've got this! It is great that you're up and moving and walking your doggie. Keep focusing on the why you're doing it and how car you've come.5 -

SW: 198.8
GW: 198
UGW: 175ish
Challenge goals: I'm staying at my recommended calorie target (1700) and walking 10,000 steps.
06/13: 196.4
06/14: 195
06/15: CW: 194.4 We made pizza last night. Normally I would have eaten another slice. It felt good and bad at the same time to limit myself to stay within my calories.9 -
Round 9 already? This is the most consistent I've ever been with checking-in and I love seeing my weight loss trends and seeing everyone's successes and insights as they figure out their own. 💙
This round will take me to summer vacation and I AM READY! I'll be tracking at least 10,000 steps a day, going to the gym and working out at home more, and aiming for at least 45 oz of water a day. I would like to see two pounds less on the scale by the end of the challenge.

Day/Weight/Comment
06/12 180.4 lb I tracked 14,096 steps, had 40 oz of water, and burned 300 calories on the elliptical at the gym. I baked some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies last night and froze half of the batch so there wouldn't be as many cookies lingering around the kitchen. My fiance had three, which means he really liked them. He's a quiet guy and can be unenthusiastic about food, so when he goes back for seconds, that's when I know he's liked whatever I've prepared. I'm planning on working out at home this afternoon and I'll either be playing pub trivia with my family or watching the Stanley Cup Final if they choose to cancel trivia night.
06/13 179.2 lb 11,101 steps were tracked, I had 40 oz of water, and did a workout at home. It's nice to see a drop after five days of being the same weight. I don't think the weather will allow me to give the dog a substantial walk, but I'll be going to the gym after work today. I'm cooking taco empanadas for dinner and I picked up a new board game called Azul that I'm hoping to try out tonight with the fiance.
06/14 180.4 lb I lost my Fitbit! I hopeful it's sitting in the couch or stuck in my bed, but when I went to check my steps this morning, I noticed my wristband was empty! I know I at least got 10,000 steps because it did its buzzy dance to alert me yesterday. Oh well. I burned 300 calories at the gym, drank 42 oz of water, and limited myself to one drink during our board game. I'll be working out at home this evening and I'm pretty sure we're ordering in pizza for dinner. I'm anticipating a gain this weekend with my TOM on the horizon and Father's Day this Sunday, so I'll keep on top of my water consumption and make sure the dog is getting long walks to help ease the damage.
06/15 184.0 lb I found my Fitbit! It was under a cushion on my couch. Today's weigh-in is a result of drinks at the bar with colleagues after an irritating staff meeting followed by pizza and buffalo wings for dinner. I think I'll be taking my dog to the dog park today and maybe do some yardwork. The weather's too nice to be stuck inside all day!

Day/Weight/Comment
06/12 146.0 I didn’t exercise yesterday (first time in three weeks) and I also didn’t gain so shows that I can (and probably should) take rest days since I feel more energized now. This week is my TOM and I’m going to start tracking. I used to put it in my notes section of MFP but I can’t find that so easier to track old fashioned style to see how much I do and don’t gain
06/13 145.8 It is nice to see a new number. I managed to do 35 minutes yesterday at the gym, which I usually avoid completely for 2-3 days on my period. Today is really busy so I’m going to try to get the deficit on food alone.
06/14 145.4 yesterday was not an ideal diet day. I didn’t eat much, but drank more than usual. My nba team lost and it was a nail biter and an aperol spritz excessive game! Back to water and actual food today.
06/15 145.4 ate well yesterday and off to a boxing class today with a friend and watching a movie after. I’m really hoping to continue progress throughout the weekend

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40.

June 12 - 178.2 - Starting back on this round after completely missing the last 10 days. Weight is up a bit due to lack of exercise and having too many snacky type events happening. Hopefully will get it down another 3 or 4 pounds by end of June.
June 13 - 177.6 - Better day yesterday than I've had for a while. I need to keep it up.
June 14 - 177.2 - Another good day yesterday. I'm a bit worried about today because I'm going to have company all day.
June 15 - 177 - not a good day yesterday for healthy eating at all. Hopefully today is better.

Highest weight 162lbs
Went through 2years of extreme stress and got PTSD started anti depressants and gained 50lbs!!
Now I’m off all meds except a thyroid pills because the stress and pills caused me to get hypothyroidism!!😩😩
Once I started to feel better emotionally I decided it was time to feel better physically. Even at 9 months pregnant I was 30 lbs less than than this stress weight! So to me it felt uncomfortable and awful. This last year on fitness pal has been up and down but it definitely kept me accountable. I go off track a lot but have consistently come back to my FP app💜 I am still having trouble getting into working out, I know once I get into it I will love it again. I’m a “give it all you got” person once I get past the beginning hump of pushing myself to start! Hoping to push myself and get my *kitten* up and going!!! Lol

My Third Long Term Weight Goal: Weigh 159 by Jan 11, 2020 (my 2 year anniversary of current Keto dieting).
Final goal: 145-153. We’ll see how I look & feel when I get there.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on doing cardio in the form of dancing at aerobic levels whenever possible. I would also like to walk as much as possible although walking outside is impossible for me this time of year.

06/11 …..195.9 ….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
06/12 …..195.9 ….. 3 Travel days out of 10 this round. My food weakness is in traveling. UGG. I’m hoping to NOT go hog wild on these days and keep my nose in the trough a little too much! Yesterday was a good day again. Yesterday’s stats: 1369 Calories In / 2334 Calories Out. 29 Net Carbs. 10,030 Total Steps & 4.24 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 34 minutes. No change in the unexpected weight gain. Patience is truly a virtue. Welcome to all the newbies & good luck everyone on this round. Thanks to @GrandmaJackie for providing this lovely spot where lives are changing everyday!
06/13 …..195.7 ….. Travel starts today.
06/14 …..xxxxx ….. Travel no weigh. Reading posts. Will be home this evening.
06/15 …..198.6 ….. Mexican & Chinese in the two days of travel. Now.... to undo the damage. Okay, so today I have reacquainted myself this morning with the process of fat adaption. I have read a few articles to refresh my (often brain-fogged) memory and I am ready to go! Here are the articles I’ve read this morning. Page 1: https://perfectketo.com/fat-adapted/ and Page 2 which is a link within page 1 https://perfectketo.com/what-is-the-ketogenic-diet/. There is certainly a lot more out there but all I have time for this morning. Youtube will be my best friend later tonight and I think I will rewatch the long video of butter bob “Butter makes your pants fall off” which I remember as being the greatest motivator for me when I first started my journey to better T2D numbers, weight loss & overall health. Thanks @quiltingjaine for the firm but caring push in the right direction. Yesterdays stats on my fitbit showed 13,785 Steps (mostly shopping with fitbit on my shoe). 5.83 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit step hours achieved while stopping during travel . I slept 6 hours & 17 minutes last night which is a lot for me. Probably carb overload & crash. My calorie & carb count for yesterday was way way too high I’m sure. I wish I would have skipped the rice, that would have helped. Today is a new day. I am beginning my fat adaption process & am looking forward to it like you wouldn’t believe. I have missed my prepped meals from home the last two days. More movement & more water is also on the horizon.
