Hi,
I want to hear from people who have done the journey & lost a mass amount over time. I am 169 kilo & news to lose 100 kilos. I need to know how to start in terms of best exercises to do and all that jazz.

Hi and welcome.
I am on a similar journey but I have been on it now for 16 months so I have already lost a substantial amount of weight.
The best place to start is by entering your info into MFP and start logging the food you eat right now. Look over it and try to find some places where you can cut back portions so that you can start eating within your calorie goal. Keep it really simple and do only what you absolutely have to do to stay in your goal (most days).
Exercise is not necessary for weight loss but it is a good idea for overall fitness. I suggest finding something you enjoy doing.5 -
welcome!
My number 1 suggestion is to not start off with so many changes and extremes that you set yourself up to fail. Find physical activity you ENJOY and are likely to keep doing for physical health but weight loss is mostly all done in the kitchen (or rather, what you put in your mouth). start small, build up.
on the same line of thought, don't try to go to extreme with eating too little and not eating any of the foods you like opting only for what you consider "diet food". again this can set up for binges and failure over time. set a reasonable rate of loss you can maintain and don't feel starving on.

ETA: I lost 100lbs twice (3-4 years apart) and most recently lost 53 and hoping to keep it off for good this time.4
