    OMG!!! SERIOUSLY!!!:noway:

Diarrhea is lose of fluids...the large intestine is responsible for water absorption

Chronic constant diarrhea will result in loss of electrolytes (sodium and potassium)

On the bright side, if you drink it, you don't have to log it as increased calories or increased sodium.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it does.

Create your own "Log" pun here.

I'm sorry, I think I just stopped and stared at this for about 10 minutes before I realized I was doing it.

Perhaps TMI, but true nonetheless. I had chronic drug induced diarrhea (stupid doctor) a couple of years ago. I lost 20lbs during that time. I'm guessing it was because anything I ate did not stay in my digestive system for any appreciable length of time.

Do not go that route. It is not good for your body.

I had what turned out to be drug induced diarrhea as well, it took 15 years to figure it out, I took a lot of Imodium to keep up with it, never got dehydrated and didn't lose any weight during this time either...

Not as exercise but it's a great way to lose weight quickly.

I am guessing the reason that people are asking this is because when you are sick (or have diarrhea for other reasons) a lot of people tend to lose a lot of weight. So I think the people asking this question do not realize that this weight loss is typically fluid loss, not fat. Though depending on how bad and how extended it tis, you could certainly be losing to much.

SO. Not a dumb question. A reasonable one for those who don't realize where the weight is being lost from when you have terrible diarrhea.

You're doing it wrong. When you write an absurd forum topic to get a laugh or to get a rise out of people, you just go ahead with the question. You don't say "this is a serious question" first. That just kills it.

I am so glad I wasn't the only person thinking that...
