New and goals

Hi, I started using MFP quite a while ago, but haven't used it in some time. Anyways, I want to get healthy again. It is so not like me to let myself get like this, but I have gained a lot of weight, have not been eating healthy, or exercising in the past year. I've been in the hospital twice and have been put on medications that have made me feel extremely crappy (they are known for weight gain) and I think this has been part of the problem. But, no excuses, I need to take control.
I'm 26 years old and the heaviest and most out of shape I have ever been. I'm 5'6 and starting at 143 pounds. 141 this morning. For most of my adult life I fluctuate between 120 and 130.
My goal is to be 125 pounds.
I eat vegetarian just naturally. I don't like meat. I eat a lot of lentils, beans, fruit, nuts, and seeds.
I have a 24 hour fitness gym membership,I have a gym in my apartment complex, and an elliptical in my apartment.
Here I go. Time to lose 16 or so pounds.

Welcome to the MFP Community. If you only have 16 pounds to lose, try to stay realistic with your goals. About half a pound per week is fine.
