Slow approach, healty eating, no "fancy diet programs"

Hello people!

I have a GARMIN-device and it suggested to count calories... so here I am. Looking for friends for support, new ideas and motivation.

I love cooking; mostly veggies and salads :) Also pancakes :/

I am in a desk-job and getting a new degree. Exams in november. So there is a lot of anxiety coming from that situation.

I would like to lose about 20 pounds, going very slowly. 0.5 pounds a week (?)
I do daily gymnastics for my back. Had surgery last year. I am very bad at cardio and would like to improve that. So if anyone has suggestions how to start at 0 endurance...?
