I spent most of last week at 124 and popped down to 123, so I really hoping for a 1 pound loss when I lose what I hope is water retention from our Midwestern heat wave, weekend only wine consumption and a family fun eating weekend with both kids home.

22:126 - Thinking it is water weight did a very aggressive weight workout yesterday, knowing today will be limited since taking my daughter to oral surgeon to have wisdom teeth removed. Hope can exercise this afternoon. Quite the migraine today.

07/22 168.1 I'm a little bummed I didn't make my goal for Round 83. I really felt like I was retaining water the entire Round from my trip to Colorado and maybe still now. Two excellent parts of this weekend. Saturday morning I spent with my great-niece. We played in the shade at the park for almost an hour before it got too hot. Sunday it cooled down (heat index in the 110 area Saturday afternoon) after a storm and I walked 3 miles in the morning then met a girlfriend and walked 3.5 yesterday evening. It was beautiful, about 80 degrees and breezy.
I was glad she was with me, because there was a crazy homeless guy on the trail. He just muttered to himself when he passed us so we didn't think too much about it other than it's very sad. When we turned around to go back he had stopped along the trail and unpacked his stuff all over the path. Which was very weird but not dangerous. Unfortunately, he had also started a fire in the woods burning a bunch of cables and other things that were giving off a chemical smell. Once we got well passed we called the fire department, about 5 minutes later we saw the truck and stopped them to explain where it was since there wasn't an address. He said don't worry, we saw the smoke already. It's so sad but at the same time, you don't know what people are going to do or what brought them to this terrible place.

***summary so far- started 153.4 now 142.8 I must say not drinking etoh has helped with this. So..well, now i must make decisions...I am doing a 30 day etoh 'experiment',(today is day 27). Do I risk my successes..including weight-loss if I end the experiment; or, do I continue the 'experiment until I reach my weight goal? Umm, not sure yet...keep you posted.

07/22 …..198.2 ….. After DGS’ birthday party weigh-in. However, it’s the late night binge that bit me in the butt. During the party I took a nice walk on a foot trail around the lake to offset the food. It would have been okay if not for the binge later. I haven’t done that in awhile & was surprised by the horrific lack of control. 2793 Calories In / 3003 Calories Out. 16,678 Total Steps & 7.06 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 6 minutes which was badly needed. I took the hike/walk around the lake during the party, I took an intended brisk walk at home around the property & I fit in 14 minutes of aerobics burning over 3000 calories for the day. More calories out than in, but still an almost 3 pound weight gain overnight. I hope some of this is water because the sodium was definitely high. I don’t want to spend this entire round getting this back down including the upcoming travel. I’ll be working on this hard today.

@quiltingjaine You are such an inspiration, especially in regards to LCHF dieting. My NSV is that 90% of the time, this truly has become a lifestyle for me. But those social or travel events still put me into a tailspin & it does not always come out okay. Clearly, eating carbs puts me back into cravings for high carbs I can't always control just yet, but I just keep working on it and I know I will get there. If I try to stay away from LCHF for too long, my body craves my keto friendly / low carb foods just as much as it craves the chocolate. So I know I've made tremendous progress. Thanks for your continual support & inspiration with pictures, recommendations, and even the recipes or dishes that you mention making. I actually look them all up in case I want to try them. I am hoping that my personal struggle & my honest logging of my weight & my overall journey will show others not to give up. We are in this together & someday soon we will want to share our pics too.

07/22 - 140.8, stayed the same as yesterday, which is great on a weekend! I have a group tennis lesson today, and I will try to do 60 minutes on elliptical. I have a work dinner tonight at a Thai restaurant so I might be up temporarily tomorrow due to sodium intake, but I preselected dinner already. Good feeling that this is the round I break into the 130s and stay there.

07/22 152.8 ~ {Steps 12,666} ~ I jumped right back on the horse after falling Saturday night. We took my grandkids to see Lion King at the drive in. The pizza, popcorn and ice cream jumped my weight a couple pounds. So again, the battle is in to get back in the 140s.

I only started late last week myself, but so far I have done a couple of classes with fitness blender. Popsugar also has some no equipment exercise videos.
I’ve also heard great things about yoga with Adrienne, but I haven’t done enough yoga classes to know form so that might be next month’s project. Barre classes online usually only require a wall or chair for stability, although there are some that require light weights.
I do the no equipment videos, because I have a gym membership and still want to go there as much as possible so if I buy too much stuff for home, will weaken my desire to go to the actual gym.4 -

07/22 307.2 The heat won yesterday and I barely got in 3500 steps. Most of those were after sunset. It’s much cooler today and will be for a few days so I’m looking forward to getting outside this week.

This thread actually gave me the idea that the best way for me to lose weight IS to weigh every day. I'm the kind of person that tends to "f&$% up" during the beginning part of the week, rationalizing to myself that I have the whole end part of the week to "eat less, exercise more" to make up for it. The problem is two fold: 1 - so not the right way to do it and 2 - I never "eat less, exercise more," so by the end of the week I end up gaining and feeling awful. It is keeping me on track DAILY, which is exactly what I needed.

Round 84 Goals:
- My son turns 2 at the end of the week! The party is done, but we'll still be doing some celebrating this weekend, so I'll still be a little flexible on the end of the round goal. But I'd like to be focused and eat well on the week days.
- I saw 145.xx on the scale last round - I'd love to see it again! My pre-pregnancy weight was 145ish, so it's really exciting to be back to seeing these numbers.
- Keep up daytime water (3 tumblers), workouts (3x per week), and add in some walking (either during lunch or after work with the kiddo/dog).

07/22 - 148.4 Went to a mimosa brunch with family yesterday and indulged a bit too much! Feeling very bloated and dehydrated and SORE from a weight lifting class back on Friday, so hopefully some good choices today will get me back on the right path.
