Hi everyone. I’m a beginner. Working on my health and I have started adding small weights to cardio (4 lbs). By doing so I noticed that I actually like the way the resistance felt and so I started reading about strength training. I’m 46 and female. Can anybody please suggest the next amount I should go with to start a more challenging routine that I can safely do alone? Thanks everyone.

You can an also try Jeremy Ethier on YouTube
for proper weight training ideas as well as Bodybuilding.com for motivation.
I found, that joining a gym for a year and booking a trainer to get proper form, helped me the most.0 -
Actually building muscle takes a LONG time and a lot of effort. Howevwr, you can rapidly increase your % of muscle mass by simoly losing wt which will mostly be fat.1

I started with StrongLifts 5x5. It take a long time for women to gain muscle. Patience and good eating habits are key to seeing the results. I'm on my 4th month lifting heavy( 65lb. bench presses, 95 lb squats, etc.) and it's taken that long to see some toning and muscle definition.6
