I started a week ago and did pretty good up until last night ( I splurged a little with the wine)! I got on the scale this morning and was up 2 lbs! Can’t believe this! Any suggestions?

you did NOT put 2lb on. the scale fluctuates daily and weekly just due to water fluctuations. it coudl be the alcool itself or the extra food in you system that has your scale up but you certainly are unlikely to have actually eaten enough calories in one day to cause 2lb (or even 1 weight gain).
it is hard but we need to not let the daily weight derail us. they are just numbers. numbers that represent a whole bunch of things beyond fat gain/loss. time of the month, new/incraesed exercise, extra food in transit, extra salty meal can all impact the number but that means nothing in the way of progress per say. they are simply datapoints. look and concentrate on trends.5 -
I’m not giving up.....on the treadmill now! Have a great day everyone!1

Did you eat (or drink ) 7000 calories above your maintenance calories yesterday? It seems doubtful - that would be possible, but not likely.
If not, most of that 2 pounds is some combination of water weight and higher than average digestive system contents.
Give it a week. I predict it will be gone.
Just log it (even if you have to estimate), then get back on your healthy plan.
It's OK to eat or drink over goal occasionally, and as long as it's pretty rare, it's just a drop in the ocean. The majority of our days determine the majority of our outcomes.
If you truly, deeply feel like the splurge wasn't worth it (it may well have been - only you know), then spend no more than about 10 minutes thinking about the circumstances that led to the splurge, and how you'd handle similar circumstances differently in the future. Then, make a new script about what to do next time, and rehearse it vividly in your head a few times, like a mini-movie, so you'll remember and be cued to use that new script. On the other hand, if it was worth it, just let it go.
Then, just get back on track.
Guilt or other bad feelings don't burn any extra calories, they feel icky; so they're optional. Beyond that, the past is past and unchangeable, so why fret?
