Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Oof !! I do NOT like to see that big of a jump! I’m trying to talk myself off the ledge, I did have one day that we went out to eat that I know I was over, and my sodium was over each day this week (I tend to hold onto water big time after high sodium days) so I know in my head it’s not a true gain, still sucks to see on the scale! Going to change around my meal plan for next week to make sure I’m on the lower end of sodium consumption, I have high blood pressure too, so I shouldn’t be having so much sodium! Ugh, just gotta keep trucking along.6 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I was surprised to see long, busy shifts on my feet haven't been commensurately high in steps. I've stayed above my goal, but quite a bit of that comes from walking to work. The pace at work has also lead to inadvertent intermittent fasting - there were a couple of days where I was finishing my lunch at home afterward as part of dinner. A struggle has been strength training, as I simply don't have time to fit it in on days that I work. I managed two days this week, but I see better results from three. A success has been getting my cardio in every day, even when I've been bone-tired and not feeling it at all.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I didn't check in for like 2 months now. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I've just begun taking l-thyroxine. My energy level is very low for the past couple of months. I thought it was stress related cause I've just finished my university studies in June and it was just so stressful for me. The symptoms didn't change after I took my final exam, they just got even worse, so I decided to see a doctor. My blood test results showed a really high TSH, so I searched for an endocrinologist, I had my appointment with her last Friday and she put me on meds immediately. She told me that it's probably Hashimoto's, but I will have to go for another blood test in a couple of months to see if that's the case. I really hope the meds will work, but currently I feel really bad. I also gained 1 kg in July, but I know my diet sucked, so I decided to stay in calorie deficit for a few weeks until it will go back to 58 kg.6 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My scale weight is a little low this week, but my trend is still in range. I feel like I eat a lot, but I guess I need to eat a little more. My runs have been really good lately and my mileage is up some too so I guess I need to compensate for that. Sometimes I just have to eat when I'm not really hungry. They say you can't outrun your fork, but lately it seems like I've been keeping ahead of the fork more than I need to.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight has still been up over the high end of my maintenance range, but I did have one high sodium day in the middle of the week which bumped my weight up and held it there for the rest of the week. I'm hoping that my weight will go back down again this week, as I don't have any meals out planned. I got a new Fitbit because my old Fitbit One has been slowly dying over the past couple of months. New Fitbit is helping a bit with motivation to exercise, and the "reminders to move" feature is useful and has bumped up my activity a little bit this past week.

Weight creeping up, a bit faster in July. Appetite is up. Salt intake higher to increase bp. Food is then tastier. Motivation to exercise has been down due to fatigue & having to build strength up again.
I have travel coming up & want to be 153 by then.

Successes/struggles: it’s been an interesting week! I have some childcare again after a week without any so I managed to get more exercise time but still found myself more snacky with being at home (teacher on summer holidays).
But the big success of the week was completing my first ever running race on Sunday - a half marathon! I was extremely nervous about it and had not had the best prep for it so I’m thrilled to have managed it and hit my target time!

Success/struggles of the week: I want to celebrate because it is officially one year since I started losing weight and today I am 42 pounds less than a year ago. There’s been some big health changes in the past year for me (gall bladder surgery, becoming gluten free due to severe intolerance and giving up alcohol) and I am very happy that I am so much healthier and stronger than I was a year ago. It is very empowering to lose weight and gain strength. Thanks to everyone for being such an inspiration on this journey.
I am lowering my maintenance range as my weight has continued to drop the last couple of months. It’s been summer for me (I am a teacher and return to school next week) and so it’s been easier to get more exercise and eat healthy. I like this range but I also want maintenance eating to be easy so I am hoping this range will work for me. Have a great week everyone!3 -

Success of the week: Made it to the top of what I believe will be my maintenance range the first week of August, which has been my goal. I spent the month of July slowly raising my caloric intake to try to find my best maintenance number.
struggle(s) of the week: getting my head prepared to no longer strive for a deficit and to handle some weeks of gain while I am fine tuning my numbers. I have been reading the maintenance check in threads for the past month, so I know it’s just how this works!
I eat low carb, but not keto, am not doing any type of organized exercise program but am staying busy. I do plan to take up some lifting this fall. Thank you for creating such a supportive and honest community here.

Successes/struggles: Weight is up a but I suspect it should have been higher last week anyway. Prob ate a bit too indulgently after the half marathon last week and then TOM meant I’ve seen some high numbers on the scale this week. But have kept calm, managed some good runs and training sessions and am overall happy to be in the middle of my range. Hope to stay consistent for the next couple of weeks of the summer break.

Success/struggles of the week: Hard week with some unexpected medical issues. Chose to give up all sugars and dairy for a while until my health comes back 100%. It is just what I need to do for now. Have a great week everyone!2 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: It was a good week, weight- and health-wise. I did a biometric screening through work as part of their health promotion program, and my numbers were very good. I found the 11% body fat reading through the hand-held bioelectric impedance reader to demonstrate how inaccurate they can be, even if it was ego-stroking. I also realized that I first hit GW about a year ago, which is a happy milestone.
I did struggle with getting in my usual amount of exercise and had a couple of days without runs. I joined the fitness center at work Friday and hope it will allow me to fit some exercise in even on those 14 hour days - though the frugal side of me chafes at belonging to two gyms. I also need to trend a bit upward in weight, so I'm going to stop guesstimating and just change my settings to account for it.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I had a kind of low week this week. My trend is a little lower than I want it to be. And all of my scale and trend weights were under range last week. I'm feeling good though and my energy is fine. I think a lot of it is just that the heat kind of dulls my appetite. I know I need to eat a little more, it is just so hot and nothing really sounds good and I don't want to cook much. We are supposed to hit 105°F today with a feels like of around 110°F. I've been getting my runs in in the mornings, but it has been in the 80's already. I'm just really ready for some cooler weather.2 -

Back from visiting family. Unfortunately my step father passed away after a few years fighting Multiple Myeloma. I'm very happy to be in the same range as I was when I left. It was so tempting to just eat and cry with family. I poured myself into miles which was relaxing.

Successes/Struggles: Things have been going well. I've been tracking less, trying to transition to a non-tracking period of maintenance. I will still track some, to keep an eye on things. We'll see. Seems like the weight is trending down just a little. I'm not bothered by that, I know I still have plenty of leeway in the healthy weight zone, with as much work as I'm doing (physically) I know that there will be ups and downs.
We are taking a new direction/longer deload/changeup right now. DH wanted to try calisthenics, and I've always wanted to give it a try, so we are doing a calisthenics program for 2-3 weeks (me), and while he loses the rest of his weight. He was finding lifting heavy too taxing to adequately recover while eating at a deficit, while simultaneously not eating at enough of a deficit to lose weight. So he decided to focus on cardio, flexibility, and skills. He's doing a beginner bodyweight routine, with cardio and a mobility routine. I've been doing an intermediate-mass routine, with a mobility routine. Don't get me wrong, I like it. It makes me feel really boss to do a lot of chin-ups an dips, but I miss weights already and we are only 1.5 weeks in. Next week I'm going back to lifting. Given my long term focus though, I may continue to incorporate a good bit of calisthenics and mobility work. I was under the impression that calisthenics were easier. They are not. Well, for the upper body. I don't feel I get the same impact as weights on the lower body, but on the upper body probably more.3
