    OK.

"Gut health" or more the more science-y sounding "gut microbiome" is one of those trendy, amorphous ideas that I've yet to hear a practical definition for. What is my "microbiome" suppose to look like? How do I know when it's correct? What test do I take to confirm that? Do particular changes in it map to particular symptoms? How do we know that? In short, it's not something I worry about because I've yet to hear someone tell me what it means in an empirical sense.

The subject of the microbiome is something I find really interesting. If you really want to talk Gut Health there’s a lot more to it than your OP!

Here’s a couple of links that make good reading

    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1931312816301536

    https://gut.bmj.com/content/67/9/1716

Long story short, the more diverse your food intake the more diverse your microbiome. Shocker!

But it’s interesting when you look at the studies involving monozygotic twins.
