I went to a deli in Boston and ordered an Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato Sandwich with... Avocado on Sourdough Bread.

I was told: " We don't carry either Sourdough Bread or Avocado."

    "Really?"

As a left coast guy, this is unforgivable and a cardinal sin for any 'so-called' Deli.

    Shame. Shame.

Smh....I want to apologize in behalf all Boston Delis.....wait let me start a.thread🤔😋👍
You ever go back I'll hook you up with a deli that will make you cry happy tears.....😘

I just can't. I have a Pinterest board just for sandwiches, and it has 500-something pins. I even considered writing an ebook about freezer-fooding/meal-prepping sandwiches or pre-prepped sandwich components, cuz I got frustrated whenever I just had to have a Reuben but then I had a whole loaf of rye I didn't really wanna eat all at once, and which I rarely use for anything but Reubens.

    tl;dr -I like sandwiches a lot.

Come on, do it! Rank them!!!

I agree. I am now interested in rankings. It's not like it's set in stone.
    1. Leftover Thanksgiving Sandwich
    2. Hotdog Sandwich
    3. Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich
    4. T.B.L.T.
    5. Ketchup Sandwich

Omg, okaaaay. Jeez, the peer pressure 'round here. :p

Top 5 I want right this particular minute:
    1. BLT with homegrown heirloom tomato still warm off the vine
    2. French Fry & Debris Po Boy
    3. Meatball Hoagie, broiled, extra mozz
    4. Baked Spinach&Artichoke Wrap
    5. Grilled Macaroni and Cheese

That was so hard and now I'm super hungry. I hope you're proud of yourselves. :D
    Also, what's the extra T in a T.B.L.T?

If I get 3 purple hearts I'll make you one every night. But I'd also do it for a blue or orange heart.

    💜🧡💙

    3). Hot Pastrami on sourdough
    4). Philly Cheesesteak

Reading this thread makes me realise how little we in the UK know about sandwiches. I like peanut butter and jam with a banana - that's as exotic as it gets.

(I try to craft these within my diet goal)
    1) Peanut Butter and preserves
    (Strawberry, Blueberry, Blackberry or Peach)
    2) Pork roll and egg w/mayo and ketchup on toast
    3) Bologna or Ham with mayo (sometimes both) toasted or not, both are great
    4) Grilled peanut butter, banana, preserves, cinnamon with wheat cinnamon raisin bread (sometimes I use an egg and make a French toast version.)
    5) Combined tuna/egg salad sandwich, toasted or not.

Dude, it's delicious! Creamy eggy goodness with crispy bacon. Yum! Even better if you can get it on a marbled rye bread.
