If walking or running outside is not an option, I will read...reading gets rid of those million little things that need to be worried about and go on a constant loop in my head especially when I'm emotionally wrecked. Writing and reading is what I do for a living so reading something I want to and not have to edit it is a joy and the best escape!💗

When I'm really emotionally spent - I prefer to be alone to recharge.
    1. Long walks with my dogs or take one of my horses for a ride.
    2. Manically Clean - the house, the barn, stalls, weed eat, mow the lawn - it's oddly therapeutic
    3. Just sit at the barn with a stiff drink & talk to my animals
    4. Write things down
    5. Bubble bath with soothing music
    6. Work on my garden

I snuggle with the doggo and binge something on Netflix. My last binge was Blue Bloods. Doggo says he likes Blue Bloods, too.

Come to think about it... I am pretty spent at work at the moment. I took a mental break and came here, but I have happy music in the background. Currently Jimmy Buffett is making me happy. Some days I resort to Five Death Metal. Today, is not that dark.

I consume nothing but coffee and stroopwafels while avoiding exercise and responsibilities, it almost never works

Yeah I bury myself in video games or something else that's completely mindless and it also never really works long-term, though it helps for an hour or so

Dancing to music, reading with my cat, watching birds, doing my fingernails ridiculous colors, drinking low calorie coffee drinks.

It’s silly but I really do feel more able to cope when I change up my fingernails. For a while they were sparkly purple. I never used to do them, it’s a thing I started when I stopped using food emotionally.

    - drink
    - go for a walk without my glasses on so I can be in my own world and listen to music
    - cry until I laugh at myself

It's harder when at work, I offer to do a coffee run and cry in my car, or silently in the bathroom or if I wake up feeling that way I say *kitten* it all and call in fake sick and wallow

I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it might be self-incriminating.
