Hello

Hi there,
Just started using fitness pal in conjunction with my Fitbit and I'm loving it. I'm 3 months pp with my 4th but since having my thyroid removed a couple years ago I've been really struggling to lose weight. I've been slowly losing 1-2lbs a months but would like to double or even triple that. My other concern is my energy level. It doesn't take much exercise, even a short walk, to deplete my energy. The same thing happens with food if i don't eat enough, even by just 50 calories i crash.
I eat healthy whole foods and drink 96oz plus but am really struggling to find the right groove for me. I'm finding it hard to eat enough in a day because i have a laundry list of food i can't eat, so there's no quick grabs for me. I have to make or prepare everything. There are very few good healthy foods that I can grab a quick handful of and that's usually a one and done thing. I can't eat fistfuls of sunflower seeds. It's also very frustrating because I've never struggled like this before.
I've got 45lbs to lose but more importantly i want to feel better and have more energy.
I'm hoping by tracking my eating in detail and with the support of this community I can finally start making progress.

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

I had a thyroidectomy years ago. If you're on the right dosage of your thyroid replacement med (I'm on synthroid), it shouldn't affect your weight loss.

Buy a food scale. Weigh everything you eat and log into the food diary.

    Good luck with your journey!

    I deal with a lot of food restrictions. It's a *****.

I also cook everything at home, whole foods, from scratch. Just so I know exactly what I'm consuming. Almost everytime I eat out, I end up bloated and hurting. I have found a few things I can make up for quicker grab and go. And add olive oil to just about everything I cook, just to up my calories.

Good luck on here, it can be a very supportive place and great tool!
