Calories burned .. elliptical vs tracker

Yesterday the elliptical machine said I burned 300 calories but on MFP the tracker shows 150 from Apple health .. which one am I supposed to use ?

The machines are notoriously inaccurate, especially for elliptical. Go with the lower count.1

Pick the lower one and be very consistent. In about 6 weeks evaluate if you are achieving your goals too fast, too slow, or right on target then adjust the way you approach it if needed.
In the meantime I always suggest making sure your logging accuracy up to par. If not, you may find yourself spinning your wheels. I suggest reading these threads:

I go with the tracker. The elliptical is inaccurate until I increase the resistance to about 9 or 10. Anything lower than that and the calories recorded are high compare to my Garmin.0
