Leaving WW for MFP

I am deciding to ditch WW after 6 months and go back to tracking on my own. WW is great don’t get me wrong but as the points start to drop more and more as I lose I feel hungry all the time. I know their new plans roll out next week so maybe there will be a better option but I managed to lose 30+ lbs on my own then another 30+ lbs with WW for a total of 63.9 lbs since I started my journey last December! I have been diagnosed with a gluten intolerance as well so it has been a bit of a struggle to find the right balance for me. I definietly need help/coaching on this journey so please feel free to connect with me if you can help! Thank you in advance! 🙏🏻❤️ I hope everyone has a blessed day!

    Welcome to the community! 🧡

If you haven’t already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and educational.

Rule #1, there is no such thing as a free food.

Buy a food scale. Weigh everything you eat and log into the food diary.

    Good luck with your journey!

I left WW after many, many years for MFP and lost 100 pounds. I never looked back. What I will say is that you need to do the program you can stick with for life. If that's WW then you will do better there. For me it wasn't. I needed to build a plan that fit me. Giving me unlimited anything is a bad idea, lol. I count everything now and it works. Remember when you leave WW that MFP counts all fruits, veggies and protein. Don't assume anything is "free". Good luck.

I'm surprised WW has a viable business model with MFP being free and more accurate. I would love to see some statistics on MFP success rates.

I never understood WW's concept of "free foods." I think what works about MFP is the ability to consistently track your calorie deficit, which is the true key to weightloss. Chicken still has calories, it's not "free."
