Thanksgiving: What are you bringing to the table?

I'll bring my homemade cranberry sauce, which my aunt believes is made from some secret recipe even though I've told her repeatedly that it's just the one on the back of the bag.18
-
Spiced orange cranberry sauce and roasted veggie and quinoa salad.5
-
I’m bringing my credit card—we don’t cook at home, usually meet friends at the country club for Thanksgiving dinner.10
-
I'm taking a tossed salad and a green veg (probably green beans with almonds).5

-
I'm baking cherry pie and pumpkin pie. Both 100% from scratch.

Indeed! It's amazing how much happier the holidays are once you eliminate grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning up! Plus we all get to eat exactly what we want (I'll just be over there by the prime rib, thanks!)2 -
I do turkey but then the rest is a British roast, if it's just me and the husband. Mashed potatoes, roasties, carrot and turnip, something green (sprouts for me, green beans for him probably) and Oxo gravy made with the bastings and carrot water and some other things. Not sure about dessert yet. I'm actually not eating meat so much right now so will have to see if I can just get a breast/quarter to cook for him. Oh and I will make some cranberry sauce.4

I'm bringing everything ... from the kitchen to the dining area.🦃
Worthington vegetarian turkey
Fruit stuffing (raisin bread, cranberries, etc)
Roasted asparagus
Some sort of potatoes
Relish tray, mostly olives
Can-shaped cranberry sauce
Probably pumpkin 🥧3 -
I'm bringing my dog! He likes to eat with the hoomans.11

I still don't know what I am doing for Thanksgiving (or even for Christmas) since none of my kids live near by. We may go out with one of them, if we fell like driving or stay home. If we stay home, I may cook something simple for the two of us unless my niece and her family would be interested in joining us.
I am not longer interested in large supermarket shopping trips or lots of cooking during the holidays. I have been doing that for many years and it is not longer appealing. I am getting too old....

Given this year's politics, a sawed off shotgun and a Bowie knife.6

We're hosting this year (smaller group, only 7 adults 2 kids) so we'll be doing it all - though my mom is bringing the rolls, sister is bringing dessert and I'm sure my father-in-law will bring dessert too, always does. We're doing the standard meal: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cheesy cauliflower, sweet potato casserole and corn.4

To my mom’s family thing - pumpkin cheesecake and hash brown casserole. I also usually arrive to my parents house early to help her cook since she does a lot of the cooking. I usually end up making the mashed potatoes for her because my adult sister will only eat them when I make them.
To my Dad’s family thing - mashed potatoes and strawberry cheesecake
For my husbands family thing - It’s usually at my house, and I usually just do all the cooking.6 -

Not sure we haven’t divvied it up yet. I know for sure my husband is making the turkey (yum-he’s so good at smoking meat) and I’m making the gravy. Beyond that I’m not sure. I like to volunteer for as much as possible. I’d like to bring the mashed potatoes, corn and strawberry jello pretzel dessert thing.
Oh and apple pie. And chocolate cake because it is also my soon to be 4 year olds birthday that day.5 -
I usually cook the whole shebang, but this year my five far-flung adult children, along with their spouses and kids, are all congregating in a rented house for the holiday and bringing in a meal from Whole Foods. The menu looks fabulous but there's always room for more pie, so I'm bringing my mincemeat pie (beloved by a few but spurned by most) and pecan pie (only marginally more popular). Why bring such unloved desserts? They're my personal favorites and its all about me.18

Haha! You’ve no idea! I’d love to branch out, but my mom’s town is so small, that’s the only place open on Thanksgiving!6 -

Hosting this year, gonna be at least a dozen peeps at the table, and I'm always requested to make my version of sweet potato casserole. Is it a vegetable? Is it a dessert? Who cares, just pass it over!7
