foods you cant quit eating

Are there any foods you can't quit eating. It is embarassing for me to say I have bought cinnamon buns 3 times and still want them. I guess it is what you call a trigger food. Should I just eat it until I am sick of it or leave it alone?

You cant even buy the single ones around here, they are in a six pack, I have put them in the freezer, put them in downstairs freezer, gave most of them away but they keep calling my name?

    Dark chocolate peanut clusters!! Cant stop at just one, always grab 2 or 3 more! Luckily we only get them where dd lives (400 miles away) so not a constant temptation. Although we have looked for them here & couldn't find them. I found a recipe to make them, but have only done it once. Yeah, its too much work!

    my husband suggested I get the canned one at Krogers, pillsbury or something, not as good but that may be a good thing. They are cheaper so I could throw some away.

    We buy single cinnamon rolls when I really want one. Same with a lot of other bakery goods. I love them but don't want a 6 or 8 pack in the house because we will eat them.

    My 'can't stop' food is nuts. I love mixed nuts, but the only time I eat them is if I'm a guest at someone's house for dinner and they have them out on a table before dinner. I try to nosh on the carrot sticks and celery, but I do love those cashews.

    Snack cakes. They tickle something unquenchable in my brain. It's the only food I have to completely avoid.

    I have a tough time stopping at one cookie. Also, I have trouble portioning out ice cream appropriately.

    honey roasted almonds. the ones with a thick salty & sweet crust on them....I have learned to only eat an ounce at a time, but it always leaves me craving more!

    Currently it is my pumpkin cream cheese muffins I made. In general, it's tough for me to only have 1 slice of pizza....french fries as well I like to eat a decent amount.

    Okay this is weird I know but... raw carrots. Have given myself an upset tummy on many an occasion as I once I start I just do not have an off switch. It’s a wonder I’m not orange really.

    Cheetos. I just have to not buy them cause I'll make myself sick. I also eat way too many animal crackers...but I still buy them and eat them (usually the wholee bag by the end of the week).

    I can eat choc, cup cakes, pizza, cookies all in moderation But these dirn cinn buns kept calling my name. I think I got my answer from a little boy on playground this morning. He whined for his Mom every time a Mom came for a child. He went and played and didnt notice but everytime a Mom would come he whined again. Yes I was whining also, he taught me KEEP BUSY HAVE FUN. Kids can teach you a lot. A distraction helps alot. Glad to know I am not the only one, some foods are just too toxic for me!

    For me, no wafer cookies. Of any type. Kit kats. Chocolate covered peanut butter wafers. And especially high end European style wafer cookies with lemon, hazelnut, chocolate, etc. filling, like the ones Loacher makes. I can tell myself anything I want about having just one per night or whatever, but I end up ransacking the entire package within a day or two of bringing them home. I hate to have rules like "no this" or "no that" because I don't find deprivation helpful at all for dieting, but me and wafer cookies and a diet cannot all coexist together. Any other kind of snack, I can dole out a calorie-controlled portion and stop.

    cookies, chocolate and ice cream. i will leave my home at the middle of the night and go buy them, sneak home and eat it.

    At the moment, it's these gorgeous buttery triple chocolate chip shortbreads from Tesco's. They come in a pack of 4 and are roughly 330 calories each - initially I couldn't help myself and would finish the pack. But as I'm determined to be able to have whatever I want (in moderation), and refuse to "ban" myself from eating foods I want to - I bought them again and managed to split the pack over two days, fitting them into my calories (although it is still a hefty chunk of my calories for the day). I'm planning on buying a pack of them again and only having ONE shortbread a day, as an evening snack maybe, and spread the pack over 4 days.

    I'm planning to tackle cinnamon buns after this. I am determined to live a life where I have the self-control to be able to eat any food I want, especially the foods I enjoy the most, every day, in a sensible, moderate portion, without letting the fog of eating on autopilot take over and ruin it and force me to stop buying things I actually enjoy.

    baked goods: Croissonts, cookies, naan bread, cinnamon rolls. Now I still eat all those things, I just make them fit my calorie goals. I REFUSE to give up everything I love, so I just plan things out. If I have a cinnamon roll with breakfast I skip dessert that night, it's all in the choices you make

    McVities chocolate digestive biscuits. Used to be too high to buy- til Walmart started carrying them. I looooove the crumbly texture.

    Beef jerky. If I make my own, I’m fine with portion control and can eat an ounce serving a day. If it comes ready made in a small bag, I eat the whole three serving bag like *that*


    My #1: Cadbury crispy shell eggs or Christmas balls. Oh, how I miss those. I used to eat a couple big bags a day for the weeks leading up to the holidays and would cross my fingers there would be a trove of half price bags the day after.

    For me, the worst “trigger” foods are those with texture-crumbly digestives, jerky to gnaw on, and crispy candy-coated chocolate in any size shape of form that I can roll around in my mouth and try to disrobe with my tongue.

    Cookies and ice cream are high on my list. But truthfully, I think every food is dangerous for me. Ok, maybe not celery. :) Hmmm, happen to be some in my fridge so maybe I'll get out some stalks.
    Honestly, I could pig out on just about anything so have to be careful what I bring into the house. :(
    Once in awhile I'll make a low carb pumpkin pie with lite cool whip. A serving is 128 cal., not including the topping. I'm the only one who eats it and I'm lucky if it lasts into the next day. Needless to say, it's been awhile since I've made it. :(

    Sweets for sure, especially chocolate and ice cream. I've even eaten a whole bag of frozen blueberries, calories weren't bad but I think it's too close to ice cream. Now I just bring the occasional pint in the house or single servings.

    My kryptonite is peanut butter. I can go through a jar in a weekend, one spoonful at a time. I’ve found it’s the spoon that triggers me. I can make a peanut butter sandwich and I’m fine. One spoonful always leads to many more.

    I'm a food addict, the worse it is for me the more I eat. Veggies and Fruit can go rotten before I'll eat them.

    I eat more of babys cookies than he does. Also we share his crunch snacks evenly.
