What’s the food that always feels like a treat but is good for you too?
I had greek yoghurt and granola for supper and had forgotten how much I enjoy it!
Other winners include; strawberries, chicken, pine nuts, eggs

There is nothing I enjoy more than a big salad, always have, even as a child. Mixed leaves, cucumber, tomato, red onion/spring onions, radishes, peppers etc. Give me a bowl of that and a fork and I’m happy!
The times in my life when I’ve forgotten the simple pleasures of that are the times the pounds have crept up on me.4 -
Peanut butterrrrr4

Chocolate.1

Roasted cauliflower... Oh and garlic shrimp, mushrooms, sauteed rapini, cabbage.0
-
This sounds crazy, but I love mushrooms (Portabello, shitake are my favorites) so much that I literally just assumed they were unhealthy for the longest time, since everything else I like to eat tends to be more in the "double stuffed, extra cheese, meat lover's pizza" type of category.
I remember when I was in my young 20s and on one of many diets, I'd even order stir fry or steamed vegetables with brown rice at a Chinese place, and ask them for no mushrooms!2 -
Peanut butter, good cheese, Georgia Candy Roaster winter squash, morels, and my daily oatmeal (with Greek yogurt, blackstrap molasses, cinnamon, mixed berries, hemp/flax seed, walnuts).1
-
Banana milk shake.
Recipe= banana, milk, whey protein powder if you like, ice.
Put it in the blender foreeeeeveeeer!
Pour it in a glass and enjoy.2 -
Homemade pineapple whip.

Freeze pineapple pieces.
Put frozen pineapple in blender with a little pineapple juice. Puree foreeeveeer.

I haven't eaten that in over 25 years. Ahhh memories!0 -
Beef, lamb, brussel sprouts, asparagus, any veggie in the Brassica oleracea family, mushrooms, sea veggies .... Plain Greek yoghurt, muesli, assorted nuts.1
-
Coffee ☕
Coffee is good for you and at this point my blood is probably 90% coffee.2 -
Roasted veggies! Olive oil, salt and pepper, herbs and spices, super high heat, get that crunchy burnt goodness on the edges.3
-
Boneless garlic is not that "healthy."2
-
Yeah, but that stuff you get already de-boned just isn't as good as if you do it yourself.
Oh. Sorry. I forgot the [snark] and [/snark] tags. Forgive me. Or not0 -
Hummus! I have to buy it in the pre-portioned packs or I go crazy with it.
Avocado, carrots, kale, spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers - all delicious 😋0 -
Mandarin oranges, cherries, apricots, any fruit that can cover my sweet tooth and I don't have to eat chocolates1
-
Shrimp! So delicious, so little calories, so much protein.4

I have almost that exact salad every day, but also add jicama, shredded carrots, parsley, and basil plus protein. Have a bunch of dressings to keep it interesting but that salad every day.
Things that I really like are butternut and acorn squash, oatmeal, baked apple, and Greek yogurt. I love roasted garlic or balsamic vegetables.1 -
Those yellow sweet potatoes that don't have any stringy pulp in it.0
-
Red bell peppers.
But my first thought when I read the title was plain greek yogurt with frozen blueberries.
And now I'm hungry!1 -
Rotisserie Chicken. Ate half of one for dinner.1
