I do walk at home workouts everyday (DVD's and Youtube).

Don't need much space or equipment, it's a quiet workout, my heart rate gets elevated and it stays sustained and I find them very effective without taxing my body (I've lost over 80 pounds doing them and heading towards year 7 of keeping all the weight off).

Just finished 5 miles and feel amazing! I use resistance bands, light hand weights/wrist weights/ankle weights when I want a little extra burn. Or I can keep it low intensity and do a short 1 mile to get in some activity during my workday. Lots of variety.

    Good luck!
    Thank you!!

Check out Jessica Smith TV on youtube - she has a host of workouts with a variety of lengths.
Thanks so much! I’ll definitely check her out :)

They have ropeless jump ropes! Just the handles and a small length of cord and a ball (weighted maybe? Not sure). Might feel more “real” for you compared to just air jumping.

YouTube - Leslie Sansone and PopSugar are my current faves, but branching out more with MFP recommendations.

I hate structured workouts. I'm a big fan of taking advantage of your surroundings.

Here its snowy and it takes hubby and I both at least an hour to shovel our rural laneway every time it snows. That means I'm burning at least 550cal doing something we have to do anyway. I also switch this time of year from swimming and hiking snow shoeing and skiing.

You can dress for the weather and get outside for a walk.

Yes, I do this all winter long. No bad weather, just bad gear.

On rainy days I do yoga and/or lift weights.

As an update - I love jump rope but can’t do it indoors due to low ceiling or outside due to bad weather (Chicago!!). I can’t fit an exercise machine in my place either. I already have exercise tools that take up a bunch of space.

However, I have just discovered there a rope less jump ropes! I’m definitely getting one 😊 This solves my problem 💚🎉

Thanks again for your feedback everyone!

I don’t normally workout at home but when I do, I generally do planks and squats. It isn’t cardio exactly but it gets your heart rate up

I use Just Walk DVDs because they give me a music only option. There's a Leslie Sansone group here.....https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/335-leslie-sansone-walk-at-home

Leslie Sansone and Jessica Smith have lot's of workouts on youtube and/or you can get their DVDs on their websites and Amazon.

There's a Leslie Sansone walking group here on MFP. Click on Groups and search for "Leslie Sansone Walk at Home" in the Groups. There's a monthly challenge thread. You set your goal and record it any way you like and it doesn't have to be just Leslie Sansone or just walking. Any instructor and any exercise you choose to do, not just cardio.

Best of luck to you. :)

Oops! Just saw TeaBea's post. Little bit of overlap here.
