It's 2020! A New Year, a New Decade and a New You!
If you do this.... lose one pound a week next New Year’s Eve you will have accomplished a significant goal.
I have used this Challenge the past three years as a means to focus my WL effort on an achievable weekly goal. I lost 30 pounds in 2017 and although I did not meet my goal in 2018 or 2019, I found this challenge kept me accountable.
Join in if you're ready to do it this for the next 52 weeks, one pound at a time. Or an amount that is achievable for you.
Get In exercise, eat healthy, veggies, fruit & protein... Be aware of your portions and mindless eating when you’re not really hungry and just bored.
Share your successes and challenges. You are not alone in this journey. We are all working towards our goal.
Weigh in weekly... or daily... whatever works for you. Just copy the information below and paste it in your post.
Welcome to the 2019 Lose 52 Pounds in 52 Weeks Challenge.

Oke,
count me in.
I have been around 100 kilo (220 Pounds) for a long time, and 2019 was a rough year on a personal level, leading me to put on an extra 11 kilo (24 Pounds) in a little over 4 months.
Better times ahead, 2020 marks a new beginning, with the right priorities, and part of that will be taking care of my health.
I am 62 weeks away from turning 50, and would like to weigh below 75 kilo (165 Pounds) on my birthday. That means I'll be aming at roughly 1.3 Pounds a week.
Weigh in is on saturday mornings, so I started on the 28th to get my starting weight.
Starting weight: 110.6 kilo - 243.8 lbs
Goal weight: 79.0 kilo - 175.0 lbs
Good luck to all who join in, and thanx to Tammie for setting this up.

Just moved all the chocolate to the garage fridge with the beer and soda. Out of sight, out of mind for me. Now to work on getting that wine out of here.6 -

Hi Everyone! I have not been able to run since March 2019 due to a foot injury, and I have yet to find a cardio excercise that doesn't aggravate it. Needless to say, I've lost alot of health and wellness ground, and my mental outlook has suffered as well. Looking for a positive community to keep me motivated and accountable to lose the weight I've put on while I try and find other enjoyable forms of excercise that don't aggravate my foot.
Starting weight: 233 lb.
Goal weight: 190 lb.

This week's successes: Preparing to get back on track in 2020.
This week's challenges: Eating out while skipping out of town for a few days.7 -
Good morning Chandra180 - I feel your pain. I too am a runner who is struggling with injury (non running related) and as a result gained more weight and loss of fitness over the past year. My mental outlook struggles as I've gone from running marathons to netflix marathons. Returning slowly with physical therapy and beachbody morning meltdown. ~ You just gotta: "Find the magic in the misery." ☺7

I would like to join this challenge. I have been at my goal weight a couple of times in the past and know how good it feels. As I get older (57), it is getting harder to do the things I need to do to lose and maintain the lower weight. I am looking forward to reaching my goal again this year. Let's do this!

This week's successes: Even though I ate more than I should have for Christmas, and gained weight, I did not quit.
This week's challenges: Reduce or eliminate any sugar and white carbs. Convince myself that the holiday is over and to get back to the business at hand!7
