This week's successes: Keeping breakfast low calorie. Exercised 3 days.
This week's challenges: I am starting to lose ground and getting disappointed with myself. Too many stops at fast food joints, over scheduled and missed exercise 2 days. I am sure some of the back sliding is water from eating salty snacks last night and will be gone again tomorrow.
This week's plan is shaping up to be busy, as well. I hope to find the track to stay on.6 -

I've already mentioned my grief in another thread, but this morning I finally bravely stepped onto the scale and took my measurements, as well as pictures. Long story short, I am so glad I have decided to finally get serious about this. My weight has gone up almost all the way back to my heaviest, which is sad. I was hovering in the mid 240's for awhile, and it has now creeped up to a whopping 267 as of this morning. I knew I was gaining, but was too afraid to step on the scale to see the damage. Oh well! Needless to say, I'm quote motivated by my measurements as well as my pictures, where I look like I have a beachball as well as an innertube under my shirt. Yikes! The one good thing about this? Everyone loves a great before and after picture, so I'm sure I'll be sharing them come this summer!

This is the first week of 2020 I have gained weight (1.6 lbs). My wife was out of town for 3 days this week, so I let my guard down and fell off the keto wagon. To add to my discipline problem, tomorrow we start a two-week vacation. We will be in a different town almost every night. All of our meals will be eating out or on the road. Also, we will not have our scale with us to monitor progress.
I will attempt to maintain an 18/6, fasting/eating window. However, I know there will be Diners and Dives along route 66 calling my name. I hope to stay ahead of the curve on the pace of 52 pounds in 52 weeks ( 1 pound a week). This is week 6 of 2020 and I’m at 10.4 pounds lost. So, by the end of my two-week Arizona adventure, if I can keep at or above an 8-pound loss by week 8 of 2020 I’ll be happy.

Week 7 of 52 "Fall off the Wagon" week.
Starting weight: 233 lbs (106 kg)
Goal weight: 170 lbs (77 kg)
Current weight: 217.8 lbs (99 kg)
Total weight lost: 15.2 lbs (7 kg) - No change this week
This week's successes: In a week which traditionally holds the "Fall off the Wagon" day, I did a 21 mile bike ride (on a mountain bike no less), increased weight on all strength exercises, and stayed under my weight loss calorie target.
This week's challenges: A disappointing, but not unexpected, lack of progress. Likely due to re-introducing bread and rice into the diet--which I had been avoiding. A little chocolate on Valentine's day (because I'm human) and a few chocolate covered strawberries. Gym is down for some equipment changes and weather not conducive for riding left me with light workouts for most days.
I'm once again pleased to see so many people still posting to the group and welcome to the new members who found and joined us on this challenge. We've made it past the point in a New Year's resolution where, traditionally, resolve fades, rationalizations begin, and acceptance of failure takes root; that is, in part, why I enjoy this group. Posting challenges shows that many of us (yeah, I ate the whole pizza on Movie night) have fallen off the wagon, dusted ourselves off, and hopped back on. In spite of my lack of progress, I'm feeling fitter, learning new ways to eat and stay healthy, and glad you still have my back. Thanks for the support, keep it up, and we'll see less of each other next week.5
