Good luck. Be consistent, weigh/measure your food, stay hydrated, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Seek out support often and celebrate successes, both small and big. You are capable! Enjoy the journey and congrats on the upcoming marriage.

Thanks I'm only using the free version. This is the 1st time I've tried counting my calories. I've been a pretty healthy eater for the past few years, paying more and more attention to what I'm putting into my body but I haven't really been able to get down to a more healthy weight. So I'm hoping this will help. Otherwise Idk what I'm going to do. It packs on so easily but its the hardest thing to do to get the weight to come off.

Know that calories are what counts for weight management. Just because a food is 'healthy' doesn't necessarily mean it will automatically work for weight loss.

If you haven't purchased a food scale, I highly recommend it. Best $20 you could ever invest in yourself.

Before you start making any dramatic changes to your diet, spend the first week just learning how to accurately log what you *currently* eat. That will give you a good baseline to start from. With that data on hand, it will be easier for you to spot what your calorically 'costly' things are in a normal week, and from there you can begin to make small sustainable changes.
