She's the sweetest! Only been home an hour but has already explored the yard and the entire house, sniffed everything, and is now napping at my feet. I'm so lucky she picked us! 💜

This made me happy ( I might have even smiled for a nanosecond)

It takes a lot to make me happy.

    Lucky Dog

    Does she have a name?

I like the name: "Doggie McDog Dog"

You can use it if you like.

Her name is Barbara. But Barbara Doggy McDog Dog has a nice ring to it. 😂

Do you call her "Babs" for short ??

You beat me to it! She so looks like a Babs. Love the purple bandana.

I carry a bone with me. I get a dog and see what it does when I'm on all fours with the bone in my mouth. If it attacks me I do not get that dog!

OMG, she is PRECIOUS! And has obviously fallen in love with you already!!! I'm Mom to 3 fur babies, and I don't think I could live without them in my life. I wish you and Barbara all the best, and many many years of love!!!

I'd call her: Barbie, for short because she's a doll!

Oh you lucky lucky family!!! The sweetness and gentleness just oozes out of her. The picture of her giving you kisses shows you how much she loves you already and how grateful she is for her loving home!! She will bring you so much joy, I'm sure. You(I mean she) made the right pick! Was the choice hard though? I cannot imagine going to a pound and trying to walk out with only one.
First dog we ever adopted was 1 of 8 puppies. I took my 2 dds with me and we were wondering how long we could keep the secret if we took 2 home and just kept switching them out. :)
My 2 current pups are both adopted rescues too and I love 'em to pieces. Congratulations!!

Oh, she is beautiful, I sincerely hope she is a good fit for your family. Do you have any dog experience? If you do have any issues , please, please get advice from a dog trainer or someone that really knows about dogs. It really saddens me to the number of animals that are given up because there was a lack of experience on the owners part. I see so many people have the wrong leash, collar on their dog when walking them. It's ok if you have a real docile dog. The dog I have now, was given up at five months old. So I asked what was her problem. It was aggression. I adopted her as I tried a few things out with her at the society. Anyways, she has now been with us for three years. Initially, for her to learn commands, she would dig her heels in, but she is pretty good overall now. I find with her, I have to remind her once in a while who the boss is. I know she will always be the way she is. Thats her personality, but we work at it.😊

Yes I adopted about 7 years ago, an older black lab. She was precious, but unfortunately I lost her to the ex when we got divorced. This girl reminds me a lot of her, except she's way more derpy!

Take your time. I went to different shelters and adoption events for months.

Sweet Lou Lou Bear picked me. I wanted a smaller dog, but my daughter noticed Lou was staring at me everywhere I walked. He sat in my lap for awhile with this look of love, sooooo home we went. We had typical puppy issues, but he is an awesome dog and we are inseperable.

    Adorable.
