People who are really preoccupied and bothered by the way other people choose to take care of their appearance. Is your life so miserable that you need to pick on what people do to feel better about themselves? I guess I could also say women who don't support other women.23

Ah, but that first bit goes both ways. Loads of us who wear no makeup (by choice or because we can't) get shamed by other women (and men) for not being "made up" or "not dressing up to impress a/your man". Frankly, tired of it.8 -

Who says these things to you? I understand that there may be people rude like that, but im honestly curious who says these things directly to somebody?8 -
It always bothers me when people share political memes or stories on Facebook and there's no factual basis. Like...don't yall know some Russian dude made that meme and now you're blindly sharing it as if it's truth? 🤦♀️9

Absolutely. I should have worded that differently. I just meant in general. People are just quick to judge on appearances. Who cares if someone wears makeup or they don't? Doesn't change the person. It all comes down to doing what makes us feel good about ourselves. Some people don't like wearing makeup and some do.12 -

without getting *too* political i'd say this is mostly boomer tier memes for me, on either side of the aisle. like the kind your 50 year old uncle shares all the time. but that's all i really know is on fb at this point is boomer types anyhow.3 -

I'm wondering the same thing. I had to counsel an employee like 15 years ago about this topic but it was because she was in a public facing position and would go from SUPER made-up (fake lashes, dramatic eye and lip, etc) to zero makeup and slicked back wet ponytail and for a super-formal office that was not working out. I can't imagine ANY other time it would be okay to bring up such things...1 -

Lol, my entire life is full of it. My mother, people I went to school with, college acquaintances, men I've encountered in breweries, women I've had the "pleasure" to be around doing volunteer work, etc.
I mean, these are the same people who would also have no problem handing out backhanded compliments to people or asking me on no uncertain terms if I was pregnant as a 16 year old simply because I was (always) overweight so yeah.. I no longer take what they say with any seriousness. It holds no weight in my world, but I do still encounter them from time to time (not as much as when I lived in California, oddly).7 -

Totally. I think it's pretty on other people (most of the time) and I don't mind how it looks on me, but I was just never able to get over the feel of it on my face (even the tiniest amount feels really heavy on my skin for some reason). Also, I tend to get breakouts anytime immediately after wearing it, so.. I just avoid it (except when I'm in costume).
I'm perfectly content to let people do what they want to their face since it isn't mine.1 -

Ugh. Try having multiple family members all around that age posting DIFFERENT (but still stupidly misinformed) memes daily... There's a reason I hide out and never am on FB except to chat with people through Messenger. :laugh:1 -

I absolutely deplore being told to smile. I also think it's rude to say things like "don't lose too much more weight, you might float away" or "you are getting too skinny".
Also, akin to touching pregnant women... how about touching anyone without their permission. I had a random weirdo walk up to me and brush my hair off my shoulder the other day. Also don't squeeze my arm while asking how often I work out.
Don't like tattoos? Don't get one. Don't like heavy makeup? Don't wear it. Don't like spray tans, botox, breast implants? Nobody asked you. None of your business. Be happy with what you see in the mirror and leave other people alone.25 -

my entire extended family. Yep. Confirmation bias x10000000 these days.2 -
ok...add that to the list of disturbing things...people that believe things with no facts and who don't even sanity check things much less fact check them...2

definitely agree with the cell phone thing - so many people experience life through the lens of their phone these days! For instance: my brother and sister in law having a gender reveal party for their baby, and as they cut the cake, over half the attendees were watching through their phone lens!
I also despise this trend these days where people can't stand to have any disagreement with them on politics, religion, lifestyle, etc. People can't just agree to disagree these days, and no one wants to live and let live, or practice the golden rule. I get really tired of the constant offense around me - we live in a free society, I thought, so shouldn't that mean that you live you life how you see fit, I'll live my life how I want to, and if I don't like something on tv, or displayed in your yard or on your bumper sticker on your car, I just won't look and go on my merry way. No need to throw a fit or get onto facebook and deride someone and stir up a mob over it just because I don't like it!5
