Calculating and measuring the expansion of the Universe use two very different techniques. One is based on measuring the relationship between distance and velocity of nearby galaxies, while the other stems from studying the background radiation from the very early universe.
I cannot do either...4 -
I can't EVER get my orchids to bloom!2

I can't EVER get my orchids to bloom!
Are you watering them more than say a couple of ice cubes a week? Anything more is too much.
Fertilizing more once a month? Use less than half of the typical fertilizer measure on the package.
Are they in direct sunlight? They do better in indirect to darker light.
Are they in a cooler environment? If they in a warmer area, they will stall.
For what its worth, orchids are insanely hard to cultivate and rebloom. You almost have to pretend the dang thing doesnt exist to make them grown. Sometimes people repot as well thinking they are root bound. Dont repot them.

I'm not mad about it, I can grow other things!1 -

Hmmmm... If the perception of the expansion of the universe is in any way distorted on a premise of good and evil and mans inability to refuse that distortion, then we are left to wonder why good and evil exist to begin with. That begs the questions does it exist at all. From a fundamental state it does not and everything is chaotic because the universe is not governed by our limited intellect and our need to label things we like and do not like. But, having to sit through 3 films about a glowing vampire, a loser werewolf, and the most unemotional emo chick in history, I find that these labels serve there purpose.2 -
