Why for the life of me can i not find a simple protein cookie online?

Every protein cookie online calls for applesauce and its not something id ever have. I have banana protein which i love. Can anyone suggest a really nice healthy protein cookie?

Applesauce sounds pretty simple to me. But if you’ll never buy applesauce, why not substitute with same amount of mashed banana plus a little water or milk? All the applesauce will add to the cookie is a bit of moisture anyway. Some banana can do the same thing.

I’ve just done a basic ‘Protein Cookie’ search on there and quickly checked the first 6 pins - none use apple sauce. They’re all fairly diverse in terms of ingredients and cookie style.

Whilst apple sauce is possibly used as sweetness and to add a bit of moisture it would seem it’s by no means ubiquitous.
