So I am trying TRYING to drink more water , ( I only drink almond milk water and the occasional izze and juice. ( Apple juice sometimes orange)
When I had my baby 5 months ago one way to help me drink water is Ied add some Apple juice so say I had a bottle that fills 4 cups Ied prob do a cup or half a cup of Apple juice , is this un healthy? I’m still tryna do just plain water but it helps me just get the water down. I know it’s weird but I’ve never liked the taste of water. (: does this still count.

Yes, it counts. So do coffee, tea, herb tea, diet soda, soup (the liquid part), the juice inherent in fruit (watermelon is mostly water), etc.
It was once thought that things like coffee & tea didn't count because they potentially have a diuretic effect. More recent reseseach suggests that these liquids stay in the body long enough to be hydrating.6 -
Of course it counts. Just log the cals from however much juice you use.2

Yes the liquid counts but drinking juice is a very high calorie way to get your liquids in. It's also alot of sugar which is why someone who is diabetic is often given orange juice to raise their sugar in a hurry. One glass of orange juice contains the juice of 4 to 6 oranges. When I got a juicer that was driven home to me as I made fresh squeezed orange juice and it took 6 oranges to make one glass. Who would ever eat 6 oranges in a sitting?
I too don't care for plain water so I drink tea or water with crystal light or koolaide drops. This has virtually no calories and leaves me room for more food. One thing I've noticed is that now that I'm used to drinking more liquids I crave it and don't mind plain water as much.
It's totally up to you but if you drink juice be sure you count the calories because they can add up fast.5 -
It does count. In fact, we get much of our hydration from foods as well, especially fruits and vegetables. The best way to see if you are properly hydrated is to look at your urine. If it is a pale yellow, you are properly hydrated.2

Yes it's fine. Anything including coffee will hydrate you.
Btw, as long as your urine is pale yellow, you are hydrated.
There isn't a perfect amount of liquids to drink that is universal for every person regardless what a article or person says.4 -
I occasionally use Sweet drops flavoring in my water. It has Stevia in it. 8 drops in 12 ounces of water gives a nice essence.0

All that matters is hydration and keeping properly hydrated...obviously any liquid consumed would do that.1
