    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:
I would like to lose that lb. It isn't just water or anything. I'm convinced it is real weight. Not a lot but I don't like it. I had several days that I was under calories by a couple of hundred. My body likes to stick when it hits a spot which makes maintaining easier but not losing. But also even though I am trying to do the same amount of exercise that I did before the lockdown, I really don't. Things to consider.

The new scale I'm using seems to correlate with the scale at home; at the very least, it's not underestimating. I'm still working on a routine while I'm isolating myself away from my family. I miss walking to work, but have been trying to make up for it in other ways and have stayed above 20K steps a day. I've found a near-ish park to run in, and at least haven't fallen into any major bad habits while being on my own. The kitchen is filled with lots of healthy stuff, though I couldn't resist some discounted holiday candy to blow my banked calories on.

    Hang in there, everyone!

    April 25:

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: A little bit of a bump up in my weight due to TOM. I also ordered some Indian food for takeout this week which might have contributed. I've decided to increase my daily step goal a bit since I've only been getting in the minimum daily step goal each week and my weekly step total has been 8-10k steps lower than usual as a result. It is hard to just walk around in circles all day, but I've been trying to incorporate more walking in while working (taking breaks every so often to walk around for a few minutes, walking around when on conference calls, etc.) to break up the monotony.

take to many more walks. He goes hides when he sees me coming. He wants his quiet back even the cats are like why the heck are you still here. Have a great week.

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Total Weight lost: 30 pounds
Time it took to lose: ~6 months
How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.
Maintenance weight range: 142 - 148 (and not sure that's the right answer)

Average weight recorded from 2017 (12 months): 163.8
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 150.7
Average weight recorded from 2019 (12 months): 144.8

Average weight recorded from February 2020: 144.2
Average weight recorded from March 2020: 145.9

    Average weight Week of...
    March 30 - April 5...146.7
    April 6 - 12 ........... 148.9
    April 13 - 19 ........... 148.9
    April 20 - 26 .........
    April 27 - May 3 .......

Success of the week: My average weight isn't up from last week! I took the canoe over to the river on Friday afternoon and knelt for three hours, but paddled less than three miles up and down the bank where I fish. It almost wasn't any fun. The fish wouldn't leave me alone. I think I put 15 in the net. Most were two or three pounds, but a couple were bigger.

Struggle of the week: I am STILL over the top of my ideal maintenance range by scale, by weekly average, and by ten-day average. According to TrendWeight, I'm still gaining, but just BARELY over the top of my ideal maintenance range. My ideal range is six pounds, and I have a ten-pound range that I also keep in mind, and at least I'm still in that range. I'm still at a "normal" BMI (24), as well as a "healthy" Smart BMI (35). In fact, the Smart BMI has me smack in the middle of the ideal range. These are good metrics, too, so I should feel ok about it. I thought about adjusting my goal, as it's said at the top of this weekly post since the beginning that I'm not sure it's the right goal range. I fear if I increase my goal range, I might pop over the top of that and keep going, so I'll leave it where it is for now. I'll still consider myself in maintenance. Let's see what this week brings.

    Stay safe!

Success/Struggles: My scale weight was up a lot this morning,  but I was expecting that. Yesterday was my birthday and we got take out from my favorite Mexican restaurant plus we had chocolate cake.  I knew there would be a big swing and I'm not al all worried about it.  I also ran 5.2 miles in 52 minutes since it was my 52nd birthday. And this morning I ran 9.5 miles so it's not going to hurt if I eat more cake. 😁 Honestly,  my trend is where I like it so I'm not going to sweat the swings for special occasions.

    Challenges/ Successes:
Last week was a low motivation week, I indulged in a bit too much chocolate, did bare minimum for exercise (swapped to walking from higher intensity exercise), and just felt I was slipping. However I still mostly kept to my healthy habits - I did exercise, even if I didn't push myself, the chocolate was 85% dark and wasn't anything too crazy, I ate good healthy food, and feel that maybe I just needed a little 'holiday' from the normal routine as I feel extra motivated this week & enjoyed my run yesterday for the first time in ages.

Successes: I've settled into a routine at the new place. I've found a nearby park for most of my daily runs and am trying to venture a little further afield on days off to explore new places to run. I picked up my dumbbells from home today and am going to work with them and do some bodyweight routines starting tonight.

Challenges: It's an interesting time, food-wise, at work. There's been great generosity from people and businesses in the form of having food delivered to the hospital. It's mostly calorie-dense stuff, though: pizza, burgers, baked goods, etc. I feel guilty for sticking to my packed, pre-logged meals instead. Fortunately for my conscience, there are enough other people who partake that nothing seems to go to waste.

    Hang in there, everyone!

    Success(es) of the week:
    All good. Maintaining!!!
Exercising like crazy to raise mood & conquer increased appetite.

    Struggles:
Food calling to me. A couple of times I messed up with a food, but I tracked all & now can manage that food.

I’m Eating a much wider variety of foods since I can go grocery shopping & the places I order from often substitute or show me foods I haven’t had in 4 years...

After I’ve had it once or twice, I learn how to manage it. It’s almost like it loses its grip on me.

Excited: NEXT Saturday is my ONE YEAR anniversary in Maintenance!!!

    April 27th:

Successes: My weight and fitness are returning to pre-op levels. I have a little further to go weight wise but the trend is down. I weighed in at 50 kg dead for 7 days in a row then this morning it jumped up.

Struggles: I’m struggling more mentally as this goes on – with no end in sight. I’m afraid that with no other distractions and no social events I’m getting a bit obsessive over the exercise and calorie counts. Under normal circumstances I would have holidays, days out (our theatre trips for example) and lots of occasions when the calorie counting is relaxed, and exercise routines slip. But now every day is the same, nothing to take me out of myself. Even shopping is reduced to once a week.

Well, there are plenty of people worse off than me, I should count my blessings and get out in that sun today!

Still hanging on to my 1# over goal. I'm not feeling a need to eat as much as I did when this sticking in the house started. Getting outside and doing yard work helps. One of these days I will get serious about losing that #. It will certainly happen if it becomes more than 1 #.

Success/Struggles: Lost a little. Was outside mowing and mulching yesterday. Going to be raining the rest of the week. Hopefully May 8 things will ease up a little that is our target date although only for a few sections of our state. Have a good week

LOL

    Age: 41
    Sex: Female
    Height: 5'11"
    Total weight lost: 20 pounds
Time it took to lose: 2 months
How long in maintenance: 2 months
    Starting Weight: 164.8 (September 3rd, 2019)
    Goal Weight: 150 (Hit November 8th, 2019)
    Maintenance weight range: 147 - 153

Average weight recorded for September: 160.1
Average weight recorded for October: 154.0

    April 19th: 145.3 (Trend Weight: 144.5)
    April 26th: 142.9 (Trend Weight: 143.5)

Successes/Struggles: I'm guessing last week's weight was an outlier because the rest this month are pretty consistent. Nothing to report this week, other than 1 more month of working from home. Which I find delightful!

Let's see what this week brings! Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Success of the week: I wouldn't have realized it if not for this check-in; it's the second week in a row my average weight not only didn't increase, but made a slight decrease. I have had no days (except one a couple weeks ago on 10 April) when my scale weight was outside of goal range even though it's still just above ideal goal range.

Struggle of the week: I am STILL over the top of my ideal maintenance range by scale, by weekly average, and by ten-day average. According to TrendWeight, I'm still gaining very slowly, but it just needs to catch up. It still lists my Trending Weight as just BARELY over the top of my ideal (six pound) maintenance range. I am really tempted to move the goal post since I still feel good, and all my clothes still fit. Just not ready to do that!

    Stay safe!
