The white bread and mayo are empty calories.

The chicken McDonalds uses is full of hormones. These hormones mess up you internal hormone balance and cause you to gain weight among other nasty side effect (depression, bloating, hair loss, unexplained nausea..etc).. Eat this as a treat but i don't think you want to be eating this every single day!

I'm guessing you raise and slaughter your own chickens and eat them exclusively? lulz

I used to eat McDonalds almost 5 days a week, for 5 years. I worked there and we got a free meal each shift. I am alive and healthy.

Their new premium chicken wraps are yummy. Get the sweet chili one. It has cucumbers.

I plan to have McDonald's tonight for dinner, and I cannot wait! Sadly I do have to forgo the empty calories of the bun, but alas, I shall enjoy my hormone enriched mass of fat....

I eat them every now and then. If I do, I usually order without mayo, simply because I don't want mayo on it. Really, though, if you want one, have one, as long as it fits into your goals, it all works! I do like the wraps too, and dare I say, an occasional fry?! I have seriously cut back on this stuff though, because sometimes it just does not fit into my day. :ohwell: Good luck with your weight loss!

Depends what you're trying to do. Several McD options have relatively higher protein ratios, and I would guess superior taste profiles as well. I assume the regular grilled chicken is mainly appealing due to its price point.

I prefer the occasional snackwrap myself.

Same. Well, the McWraps. The sweet chili one is bigger.. I don't think a snackwrap would tie me over much. The chicken sandwiches don't really fill me up much (I ask without mayo too) for 300 calories.

full fat mayo is an absolute killer. Thats where most of the calories come from. Maybe its best to ask for it without the mayo.

If you cut the insane amount of mayo they plop on it and you do not have high blood pressure then eat them. They are super high in protein and the calories are not too bad.

Just make sure that you watch your sodium in the rest of your daily food intake.

What do people have against mayo? Idgi

I love mayo. Back when I was fat and clueless I used to love those mcchickens with the metric ton of mayo on them, now I sadly measure out a tbsp at a time :(

yup. also their chickens only eat "clean" before slaughter too. obvs this is the case since they're over here yelling about hormones on these forums. I'm pretty sure that's right.

    right?

This is totally true, as far as sandwiches and burgers go. I actually don't use mayo except in salads, I just don't appreciate the random and unexplained mayo hate.

Well of course there, there's chemicals sprayed on the fruit and vegetables I cook with because I don't have the money to pay for organic, that's a very valid point! I enjoy the occasional lunch or dinner from fast food joints aswell, but the person's post implied they would be enjoying it as their lunch meal, which suggests every day. Of course it's not feasible to cook and prepare every meal every single day, but getting up that 10 minutes earlier to prepare something for your lunch? That doesn't necessarily mean cooking. I was just trying to make the point that fast food restaurants, in particular McDonalds (renowned for poor quality, unhealthy food.) use chemicals and additives extensively. And that while everyone should treat themselves once in a while to avoid falling off the wagon, eating it every day, or most days you're working for your lunch is hardly a smart thing to do. People should be smart, and treatwise, and in my opinion something such as this should be a treat. I made the switch from buying my lunch to bringing a small, packed lunch for myself to college and it takes maximum 10 minutes for me to prepare? Just making the point that it's a worthwhile and beneficial switch to make in the long run.

Fast food chains such as McDonalds use a shocking amount of various different chemicals. There could be all sorts of stuff in those sandwhiches, and really if you're serious about weight/fat loss you shouldn't even consider going near them.. Aside from the fact there's probably some coating on the chicken containing masses of fat, it could contain chemicals right from improving the flavour, or what let t keep so long before it was cooked!

I wouldn't touch them if you are serious about it, in fact I wouldn't touch anything you haven't put together yourself.. Make yourself a small packed lunch, it only takes 5 minutes in the morning!

Seriously?? I don't doubt that there are chemicals in all food--including the food you are making at home, but there are healthy options at fast food restaurants that allow a person to still lose/maintain their diet. Fixing every single meal from home is just not feasible for some people.

ETA: I also enjoy the occassional grilled chicken (no mayo) or grilled chicken snack wrap. Lately I've been grabbing their egg white delight once or twice during the week for breakfast for something different.

Dont worry about it and eat what you want, just make sure it fits into your dayly requirements. I eat at Mcds multiple times a week("healthier choices") and I've still managed to lose over 20lbs so far.

I also find it ironic that they support Ronald McDonald House for families of sick children, while they actively contribute to the ill health of these children.
