    How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.

    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I'm getting a little lazy with my workouts and putting in only a minimal effort. I'm hoping to change that and get back on track with them. It's funny how even with lots of time available to do workouts, it's so easy to slack off on them still.

    Challenges/ Successes:
    Here in the Southern Hemisphere we are heading towards Winter, and the shorter days and cooler weather have definitely been affecting my motivation levels and behaviour. I've been slipping on things I thought I had bedded down, not getting as much exercise as usual, being less productive, not going to bed on time, wasting too much time on FB, etc. It's going to be harder over the next four months! But I am still maintaining, so that is a good thing.

    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:
    I had lowered my calorie goal some and the scale is looking better but it is too early to tell if the lower calorie goal brings me to a losing mode or a maintaining mode. I'll stay with what I did last week for a couple more weeks. I had not had to tried to lose for years so worried that I wouldn't remembered how. But I'm getting it. I tell myself that I don't want to have to shop for bigger clothes and I don't want this losing period to go on for months. That seems to keep me motivated.

    Successes: Mobility has increased and pain has decreased to the point that running has been happening again.

    Struggles: Man my HR is really out of sorts. Going to continue trying low HR running despite heavy slow downs, and really try and get more sleep.

    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Things are about the same. It's weird how these days, time seems to pass both so slowly and so quickly at the same time. My state looks like it might be opening some things up this weekend, so we'll see how that goes.

    Success of the week: I am still in my maintenance range, and my average weight might just finally be moderating back down to the middle or lower end of the range. Not today; still bouncing off the top of the range, but down a half pound from last week.

    Struggle of the week: I'm still on the wrong end of my maintenance range. I still feel good, so maybe I should adjust the goal.

    Successes/Challenges: It was a difficult week. Working at the hospital is still a bit stressful, still isolating myself from my family to protect them, and my dad is in the ICU in another state and I have been unable to visit him due to restrictions. Given his condition and baseline advancing dementia, we will likely be withdrawing life-sustaining care this coming week, and at least at that point I will be able to be with him.

    Food-wise, I have been burning through banked calories by stress eating on junk. While my weekly balance is okay, it's not ideal from a health perspective; however, I recognize that upcoming travel and events will continue to make eating well more difficult. I'm still beneath my range and can tolerate gaining a little. I've put in runs nearly every day this week, and (with an appropriate level of skepticism) had a new VO2 max according to my Garmin.

    Successes/struggles: The weight on the scale was a surprise this morning – it’s been 49.3 kg for the last 5 days and I have no explanation for the little jump this morning. However, it’s not a bad thing, I have been worried that I’m getting a bit obsessed about diet and exercise over these last few weeks. We have missed two holidays just in the last three months – we should have been away last week – which would have been a break from the routines. Our PM has announced some relaxation to the lockdown rules but it will make very little difference to me. I might be able to meet “one person who is not part of your household” "outside" for a brief visit. I don’t have work to go to and “exercising as much as you want” is not going to make much difference to me.

    On a positive note – we have booked a holiday for next May! Surely we can hope that that will go ahead.
