    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:
Read some of the struggles/stress above, Ben with his dad, Luciicul with her daughter. Prayers go out for you.
As for me, I have been trying to lose the 2 lbs. gained in the first few weeks of lockdown. Two weeks ago, I finally decided to lower my calorie goal. I had to do a lot of convincing myself to do it but did it and it is working. My "official" weigh-in day is Monday and I am down 1 1/2 lbs. This is the first time in years that I had to make such an effort to lose so I'm pretty proud of myself. :) Next week will be the week!

    Name: Ben
    Age: 51
    Height: 6'
    Total weight lost: ~65 lbs
Time it took to lose: 8 months
How long in maintenance: Since ~ December 2018
    Maintenance weight range: 163-168

Average weight recorded for 2019: 162.8
Average weight recorded for December: 162.6
Average weight recorded for January: 162.2

Average weight recorded for March: 160.4

    Week of...
    May 3rd: 157.8 (trend 160.4)
    May 10th: 157.8 (trend 160)

Successes/Challenges: It was a difficult week. Working at the hospital is still a bit stressful, still isolating myself from my family to protect them, and my dad is in the ICU in another state and I have been unable to visit him due to restrictions. Given his condition and baseline advancing dementia, we will likely be withdrawing life-sustaining care this coming week, and at least at that point I will be able to be with him.

Food-wise, I have been burning through banked calories by stress eating on junk. While my weekly balance is okay, it's not ideal from a health perspective; however, I recognize that upcoming travel and events will continue to make eating well more difficult. I'm still beneath my range and can tolerate gaining a little. I've put in runs nearly every day this week, and (with an appropriate level of skepticism) had a new VO2 max according to my Garmin.

    Hang in there, everyone!

Ah Ben, so much for you to worry about and take care of, and with the special sorrow of a faltering parent... thinking of you and wishing you well. Sounds like you have a lot of grit and determination to help see you through all this.

And all the best to all of you! Ever watch Gov Cuomo’s daily updates?? He’s the best, and helps keep me going even though I’m not a New Yorker! OK, I’m an honorary (self-appointed) New Yorker! 🌸🌺😊🌈

Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

    Age: 41
    Sex: Female
    Height: 5'11"
    Total weight lost: 20 pounds
Time it took to lose: 2 months
How long in maintenance: 2 months
    Starting Weight: 164.8 (September 3rd, 2019)
    Goal Weight: 150 (Hit November 8th, 2019)
    Maintenance weight range: 147 - 153

Average weight recorded for September: 160.1
Average weight recorded for October: 154.0
Average weight recorded for November: 149.2
Average weight recorded for December: 146.4
Average weight recorded for January: 145.4
Average weight recorded for February: 143.4
    Average weight recorded for March:
    142.5
Average weight recorded for April: 143.5

    May 10: 144.8 (Trend Weight 144.8)
    May 17: 145.9 (Trend Weight 145.5)

Successes/Struggles: Up a whole pound from last week, but still under my predicted maintenance weight range. But I'm starting to feel 'fluffy'. May need to ease up a bit this week.

Got a hair cut yesterday, feel much better now! Yet the whole re-opening makes me wonder if the general public will go nuts and we'll all be back to where we were in mid-March again.

Let's see what this week brings! Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Successes: Maintaining more easily. Not eating out is the key for me. Exercising significantly. Tracking all. Spending less time on all my diet apps now that I’m maintaining more confidently, and developing my other interests, took on part-time job.

Struggles: Sometimes I feel fat, but I’m not. Hopefully, time will help with this.

Successes/struggles: I ordered a home delivery afternoon tea from one of our local pubs for Friday and my mum came round to enjoy it sitting in my garden in the sun. She is 91 with a mild heart condition so she has hardly been out at all for 7 weeks. I’m worried about her mental health so it was good to get together, even if we were “socially distancing”. We will try lunch one day. Several of our local pubs are doing home delivery meals.
So, a faint light at the end of the tunnel?
Another lovely sunny day here, will go for a good long bike ride.

Stay alert! (That’s our PM’s new catchphrase for those readers not in the UK)

Got my summer clothes out and realized I have tons of bottoms and tank tops that fit great from years past (before weight gain). Weight wise I'm happy here, just hope I can get to stay here!

Let's see what this week brings! Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Success/Struggles: Weight up this week. Doesn't shock me. I've had a rough week with this shutdown. I live in PA who's Governor keeps changing the goalpost. Now he has ordered we will never be back to our freedoms we must get used to the new normal until they find a vaccine or a cure and if not one is found get used to it as it's the way it's going to be. Sorry for the rant.

I still feel really strong at this weight so maybe I’ll adjust where my maintenance range is down. I need to get up near 2500 calories a day I believe.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I'm still trying to figure out the right balance of cooking food v ordering takeout. I've been ending up with a lot of leftovers whenever I order takeout, so I've been cutting back on how much I've been cooking so that I can finish things in a reasonable amount of time without filling my freezer up too much. My weight is still a bit higher in my range than I prefer, likely due to all of the takeout meals, but I'm still within range, so I'm not too worried.

Success/Struggles: My weight is up this week. I know it is mostly water weight from eating Mexican food on Wednesday plus some higher sodium meals the last couple of days.  It shouldn't bother me, but if I am honest it does a little. I've actually been maintaining slightly under my maintenance range since August and my trend is still lower than my range. So I know that even if I have gained some actual weight not just a fluctuation that it's ok and is probably even good. But it is still hard to see the numbers go up and I have just been feeling insecure about my body lately.  One minute I think I look great and then I  think I look fat and then I think I look too lean. I am mostly happy with how I look but I do have some loose skin that I was really hoping would tighten up by now. So even though I have some visible abs, my stomach doesn't look like I want it to, but I'm over 50 and only my husband ever sees it.  Everything else is good though. My runs have been good and I my eating has been good too. I'm glad to have this thread. People who have never lost a significant amount of weight don't always understand how hard it is to maintain it. I do know that I am not going to suddenly gain 80 pounds back, but I also know that I do need to watch what I eat and make sure that I eat enough,  but not too much.
